What Do Men Write In The Notes App? refers to a catchphrase associated with what men write in their phone's note application that was first used on Twitter in October 2021. After a tweet that asked the question went viral, multiple male Twitter users began sharing screenshots, some staged and some genuine, of their Apple Notes app in subsequent replies and quote tweets.

On October 12th, 2021, Twitter[1] user @heluvvsana posted a tweet posing the question, "what do MEN write in the notes app?!?! 😳" The tweet (shown below) received roughly 78,400 likes and 21,000 quote tweets over the course of two days.

Shortly after the tweet began going viral on October 12th, 2021, Twitter[2] user @KevooDTB tweeted a screenshot from his notes app. The note he took a screenshot of was titled "Kevo's Bible 🤍🙏🏻🥱" and included cringeworthy hustle culture quotes like "One Plus One Is Two, If She Got A Hoe Friend Then She A Hoe Too …" The reply (shown below) received roughly 3,200 likes over the course of two days.

More Twitter users joined the reply chain that day like @ayofold,[3] who replied with a notes app screenshot reading "how to pull girls / step 1: delete twitter." The reply (shown below, left) received roughly 2,200 likes over the course of two days. Twitter[4] user @hairlineszn then replied to @ayofold's tweet with his own screenshot reading "how to pull girls in 2021." His reply (shown below, right) received roughly 1,800 likes over the course of two days,

More male Twitter[5][6] users began to reply and quote tweet with their own staged notes app screenshots going into October 13th, 2021. Verified Twitter[7] accounts like that of former NBA player Chris Bosh tweeted their own versions of the trend. @chrisbosh's tweet (shown below) was posted on October 13th, 2021, and received roughly 44,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
