X Calls on Y is a video meme centered around Eric Prydz' song Call on Me, which is also seen in X Doesn't Change Facial Expressions. The meme uses an image of a recognizable character, usually on from a Valve Software game (the strongest example being Team Fortress 2 characters), and a slideshow of pictures of an object that has a direct connection to the character.

Origin

On August 27, 2009, the Youtube user Schnockers[1] posted a video to his Youtube account entitled "Sandwich Calls on Heavy":

The video grew in popularity, and has since gained over 40,000 views.

The first response video was posted on September 12, 2009:

Since then, "Sandwich Calls on Heavy" has received 55 video responses dealing with the "Calls On" content, with the overall amount far greater.
