Island Boy Kodiyakredd Arrested And Released In Florida

Kodiyakredd, who performs with his twin brother Flyysoulja as one half of the rap duo "Island Boys," was arrested Saturday night in Palm Beach, Florida for alleged domestic violence. According to his TikTok account, he has since been released.

Kodiyakredd and Flyysoulja vaulted to fame in 2021 for a freestyle rap song called I'm An Island Boy, which inspired a lot of both mockery and sincere appreciation. From there, beefs with influencer Jake Paul brought them further into the public spotlight and the very tattooed brothers (in a TikTok, Kodiyakredd claimed to have $55,000 worth of tattoos on his body) cultivated a strong following on TikTok. For many, the brothers are classic examples of the Florida Man archetype.

Kodiyakredd's arrest for domestic violence comes after a series of TikToks with his girlfriend. In these TikToks, Kodiyakredd responds to negative comments about him acting in a controlling way or not actually being that rich by saying people are just jealous of what he has accomplished and their relationship.

This isn't the first time the Island Boys have had a brush with the law. There was a raid on their home last February, in which a friend staying there was arrested. In a livestream, Flyysoulja shared that he was concerned about his brother and said "there are certain things he needs to let go."
