When all the jobs are gone, how do you choose who deserves to eat? I always wondered that sort of thing when you see like future movies. When things are just warped right to the door, or robots are manning stalls and shops. When everything is done on a computer down to cleaning a bathroom. What job will a person even hold? In a world like Mass Effect it never made sense to me why real people' were doing really dangerous construction jobs. Or why we have robots who can work stalls and seem to have a range of advanced capabilities... but we still have human bar tenders (or Turian...) There is a demand for human interaction yes, but at what point does that interaction become to costly to promote? I'm lucky, right now my job is very hands on, emotional and based around physically looking at working with animals. I'm sure one day my job will be over taken by robots but not any time soon.

The thing is, robots aren't 100% reliable.

You've got to hire people to maintain the robot, people to repair the robot if it breaks down, and people to serve as backup drivers if the robot is ever capacitated (or if you need to make a delivery outside its maximum range). Rather than taking jobs, the robot creates jobs that were never there before.
