@Gary: Your actions did happen. One of your fleets may have been destroyed in the battle over Trishul. I do not like to mention fleets being constructed anymore because everybody does it so frequently, and it should be obvious from the map, but I should have mentioned if a fleet was destroyed. I will try to be more careful about that in the future. As for Red Matter, the Akash did not invent it. They also did not invent Warp Drive nor did they build the Lob-Star.
What about the army and slaves on Guru?

You didn't mention slaves in your turn, but your army moves with the fleet (except for garrisons). Your fleets are around Trishul, meaning your armies are there too.

Oh ok. So the three units on Guru are all slaves.
Also, I don't mean to be a dick, but how did the Akash ships take down a fleet of mine? Didn't I have superior armor and speed compared to them, but the same firepower. They couldn't hit me, I couldn't hit them? Or was it the sheer quantity of ships that overwhelmed my fleet? Did anyone elses fleets get destroyed? Sorry if it seems I'm overreacting.
You may have superior technology, but the Akash have superior numbers and are utilizing desperate tactics. You cannot expect to fight a war without suffering casualties. That kind of mindset is exactly the kind of thing that causes casualties, actually. Think of all the times in human history where natives were underestimated due to their primitive technology and the invaders were promptly massacred.
Yes, many other fleets were destroyed.

By no means do I think I'm invincible, just curious.
Akash has officially crossed the Godzilla Threshhold. All civilized nations should destroy them to the last beast! Spare no bullet!
Always Right wrote:

They're like 76% fucked next turn.
I'm going to move my fleet back to my system, colonization is not of interest for me. I'm still in the coalition, but this is an act of precaution. We don't know where the Akash will arrive.
Oh Syndic, one more question. When constructing fleets and ships, do the individual ships count as tech? Because I made TIE Fighters and Stardestroyers through Twin Ion Engines and turbolasers, rather than research the ships themselves. I'm thinking of expanding my fleets.
Some ships count as tech, others do not. Some things are led to through technology, such as your TIE Fighters and Stardestroyers. Other things are technology themselves, such as the Requiem Leviathans. It all depends upon how you structure your research. It is open ended.
Too much hype… Hhhhng-
Pretty stoked for the next turn, there's gonna be some shit going down

Sol
Sün
Teitia
The Vlad
Theren
Titania
Akash – NPC
Tech: FTL, Ship Pincers, Lattice Armor, Crabapults, Genetic Engineering, The Lob-Star, Red Matter, Warp Drive
Dipta
-A Zelmissen fleet arrives and bombards the inner crust of Jala with teleported fusion bombs, devastating surface defenses and destroying most access tunnels to the core.
-The Lob Star warps out of the system to an unknown destination. For now, the location of a majority of Akash's warriors and all of their fleets is unknown.
Twintanirig – Honeytiger
Tech: FTL, Planetary EM Field, Climate Control, Atmospheric Terraforming, Viral Engineering, Cancer Bomb, Warp Drive, Orbital Drilling Laser (1/2)
Teitia
-Research has begun on lasers which can drill into a planet's surface from orbit.
-April Fool's Day is made illegal. Punishment for violation of the law is to be thrown into a black hole. Prior to this legislation, April was not even on any Twintanirig calendar. Now that the opportunity is open for a free trip into the black hole they worship, many people have taken up pranking and observation of Earth months.
Dipta
-The fleets in orbit of Mahan release deadly diseases, cancer bombs, and SPAIDS into the atmosphere of the planet.
Droresa – RocketPropelledPanda
Tech: FTL, Genetic Engineering, Spontaneous Organics, Alchemy, Warp Drive, Energy Redirection, Efficiency, Reactionary Defense (1/2)
Barnard
-Work has begun improving upon the overmind's reactions to attack.
-Eldinane is warped to Esther, one of the Tessan homeworlds. The planet is consumed.
Requiem – Mr.Stalker
Tech: FTL, Supreme Vodka, Leviathan, Dyson Swarm, Anti-Railgun Railguns, Flying Biospheres, Space Drill (1/2), Replicator
The Vlad
-The human Premier of Requiem delivers a speech to the Ruskies titled "I Hate Akash, and so Should You."
-Space drill research is abandoned in favor of replicator technology, which would make the duplication of virtually anything an easy task.
Dipta
-Five fleets converge upon Trishul and ground forces land on the planet. Aided by the current major human rebellion, the Ruskies make huge strides in occupying the surface of the planet and exterminating the Akash.
-The Akash prove to be a more than able foe, and the casualties on Trishul are devastating to the Ruskie armed forces.
The Chimera – Laika
Tech: FTL, Atmospheric Terraforming, Mega EMP, Teleportation, Mega Shield, Super Death Cannon, Wormholes (1/2)
Hydra
-Technological innovation is pointed towards wormholes, which may be the future of spaceflight.
-The Pure Chimera are moved to ultra-deep bunkers beneath the surface of Chicxulub.
-Telepathic amplification towers are constructed on Chicxulub to improve the range and focus of control that the Pure have over the strains.
Sol
-Earth is invaded and its inhabitants assimilated. Without any kind of societal structure in place, the planet very quickly falls. Many Roman settlers are found to be among the casualties.
-Massive digging projects begin on Earth, for reasons kept secret.
-Attempts which were made to reverse the effects of the nuclear winter are voided by Chimeran terraforming, which has seen to it that the atmosphere remain cloudy and cold.
Arcadia – CrowTheMagician
Tech: FTL, Cloaking, Atmospheric Terraforming, Nanomanufacturing, Ion Weapons, Fusion Power, Psychic Energy, Tripods, A Single Vial of Red Matter, Spice Seeds, Warp Drive
Titania
-The Red Matter is investigated and found to be capable of causing a star to go supernova. This information is gleaned from the records of slaves encountered on Jala. Apparently the Akash tested Red Matter's capabilities on Taiyo, destroying the system. Unfortunately, beyond this basic knowledge, nothing more can be known without actually opening the vial, which would annihilate whichever star system the vial is opened in.
-Oceanic arcologies are built for the settlement of Rjufendr's vast seas.
Sol
-Mars adopts the Arcology model. Wraiths move in and settle the planet as well, alongside Arcadians.
-Callisto is terraformed to be more habitable.
Cattonia – Madcat
Tech: FTL, Plasma Weapons, Energy Shielding, Power Armor, Dyson Swarm, Fusion Power, EMP, Atmospheric Terraforming, Freeze Ray (1/2)
Jubatus
-Work has begun on the development of an inverse directed energy beam which would operate in the exact opposite way of a laser, absorbing heat rather than emitting it.
Teitia
-Two fleets arrive at Tympton. After a brief exchange with the local orbital defense force, bombardment of the planet's surface begins. Nuclear weapons are both launched from the platform in Jubatus system and dropped directly from capital ships in orbit.
-Troops land on the surface and take it by storm. The superior weaponry of Cattonia brings victory on the battlefield once again, and the Twintanirig forces are cut down mercilessly.
Theren
-The Tesser are engaged over Ravenos. They managed to overwhelm one of Cattonia's fleets and then quickly depart from the system. Ravenos is overrun though, without much opposition worth noting.
Cupitor – TripleA9000
Tech: FTL, Laser Weapons, Magnetic Weaponry, Fusion Power, Artificial Habitat, Energy Shields, Genesis Device, Black Hole Generator (1/2)
Gigas
-The Genesis Device is used on Albas and Canus. Within only a few short years, the planets transfigure into a lush tropical paradise and a fertile wooded fen land, respectively. Unfortunately, this transformation destroys all existing infrastructure on the planet's surface as the drastic changes to the land and rapid plant growth destroy their foundations. Genesis uproots hundreds of millions of inhabitants who are now homeless refugees. Millions more were stranded and either died or took up a tribal living in their new biospheres. Public outcry on the homeworld has called for the resignation of several governmental officials.
-Research has begun on the creation of miniature, short lived black holes.
Explodonatia – Snickerway
Tech: FTL, Space Flamethrowers, Super Lasers, Thermal Phylacteries, Time Displacement, Mind Control, Ice Breaker Gun, Time Travel (1/2)
Enfer
-Advanced time travel technology development is underway.
-Explodonatian ventures into nuclear technology is mostly a failure. The extreme heat of their habitats makes it nearly impossible to utilize technological innovations similar to other species.
Sol
-Sol is colonized by Explodonations.
Dipta
-Utilizing mind control, the Explodonatians gain valuable information regarding Jala. It would seem that the Akash are very concerned about the volatile Lithium reactor at the core of the planet. This may prove to be the fatal weakness of the Lob Star.
-The fleet is rammed into Mahan. Unfortunately, this has zero impact on the orbital trajectory of the planet, and the fleet is lost.
Tesser – Serious Business
Tech: FTL, Swarm Ships, Atmospheric Terraforming, Geothermal Terraforming, Energy Shields, Tel-Empathy, Alpha Centauri Ship, Travel Disruption (1/2)
Barnard
-Research has begun into the disruption of travel through space. Promising strides have been made regarding the mutation of space-time, although some scientists warn that this may alter the very nature of physics everywhere.
-Factories have begun to desperately churn out new starships as quickly as possible. Unfortunately there seems to be nothing to actually engage in combat besides the planet Eldinane itself.
-Esther has been consumed.
Theren
-Cattonians massacre the colonists on Ravenos. A Cattonian fleet is successfully destroyed without being able to retaliate properly, thanks to the swarm tactics and shielding of the Tesser warships. The Tesser fleet is forced to retreat, and returns to Barnard system.
Roma – Tchefuncte Bonaparte
Tech: FTL, Energy Shielding, Guns That Shoot Smaller Laser Guns, Teleportation, Hardcore Gravity, The Wheel, Phase Shifting (1/2)
Sol
-Colonists and emissaries sent to Earth to help rebuild the planet's human presence have been assimilated by the Chimera.
Apollo
-The fleets are put on the highest alert to prevent Akash incursions.
-Rapid teleportation, called Phase Shifting, is in development.
Redmagus – Sir Crona Statscowski
Tech: FTL, Psychic Energy, Fusion Power, Psybernetics, Cloaking, Artificial Intelligence, Temporal SMS, Time Travel, Viral Engineering (1/2)
Enix
-Research has begun on viral engineering technology. Samples of Akash dead are being gathered from Dipta system for this research.
-Artists from across the system gather in Terra's concert halls to celebrate the discovery of Rock 'n Roll.
Kadresha – A Furry
Tech: FTL, Mining Lasers, Ion Cannons, Kinetic Weaponry, Drone Bombs, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Radar, Atmospheric Ignition Bomb (1/2), Automatic Sandwich Maker (1/2)
Kellar
-Research has begun on an Automatic Sandwich Maker.
-The first world soccer cup is hosted. Galgor State won the finals.
-A birthday party is hosted for Cathy from Accounting. She appreciates the gesture and enjoyed the cake particularly.
-Peace is made with the Selvans, although reintegration into Kadreshan society will be very difficult. Their hostility towards Kadresha cannot be easily overcome.
-The evil moonbase is abandoned.
The Imperium Collectives – GaryTheStoßtruppen
Tech: FTL, Lightsabers, Twin Ion Engines, Energy Shielding, Turbolasers, Sky Cities, AT-ATs, Power Armor (1/2), MegaTurboLasers
Dipta
-A full withdrawal from the system occurs. The Berbers are removed from their homeland as well, leaving the planet Guru completely abandoned.
Nihilus
-The Berbers are resettled on Tatooine.
-Newly invented MegaTurboLasers are equipped to every Star Destroyer.
Grand Zelmizzen – Alice Der Dämonentöter
Tech: FTL, Kinetic Weaponry, Cybernetic Organics, Atmospheric Terraforming, Teleportation, Energy Shields, Cancer Cure, Fusion Power, World Ship (1/2)
Richt
-Scientists have started working on designs for the framework of artificial planets, or "World Ships."
-Gas mining platforms are established in orbit of Obon.
Dipta
-Mahan is attacked by the fleets. Orbital bombardment is kept up at a steady pace on one side of the planet, reaching all Akash as the planet rotates. The attack is devastating as the Akash lack any kind of an orbital defense.
-A fleet arrives at Jala and begins teleporting Fusion bombs below the surface, detonating them on the inside of the planet-ship. Its massive size prevents it from being cracked in half by the attacks as a smaller planetoid would be, but the attack is devastating none-the-less.
Bine
-Gas mining is expanded upon on Aeon.
My planet is being attacked by cats.
Better get those giant laser pointers ready.
Welp, I can't say I didn't see that one coming. That's some heavy duty destruction, though.
>tfw your sister planet is consumed by eldritch world
It would be wise to cease attacking Akash homeworlds and leave Dipta entirely.
HAHAHAHA!
Leave? Cease Attacking? Nah, my Human Enslaving Enemy, Unless you Hand me the Humans over, I'll never ever LEAVE your Pathetic Planet!
HAHA! I AM THE UNDISPUTED MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, FOR I AM THE FIRST TITAN AMONG MORTAL INSECTS TO RISE ABOVE! FOR YOU SEE… I CONTROL THE POWER… OF ROCK AND ROLL!
I'm a little worried where the Akash will land.
Dammit, every time I tray to roleplay and make absurd decisions I screw myself over. Oh, well.
Anyway… Syndic, is there any way to open trade routes with other races or something? I want to forge as many alliances as possible, but without being able to trade technology there's not much I can think of to do that will build friendly relations with the neighbors.

Alright, I'll send a fleet of Stardestroyers and TIE Fighters to Enfer.
So I now have 3 allies. Sweet.

Due to the experimental new device created in the Barnard system by the Tessans to halt the advance of Droresa, the very laws of physics have been altered, and the nature of space-time is now irreversibly changed.
Space operates in an entirely different way from before; as distance from a massive object such as a star rises the energy required to move any distance or affect space in any way approaches infinity. However, the larger and more recent travels under the old laws have created wormholes which allow the circumvention of this rule.
What this means is that, in order to travel from one system to another your fleets must follow a route shown on the below map. A stargate has been added to each system; this is the entrance to all wormholes leading out of the system and whoever controls the stargate (by placing a fleet near it) will control the travel through that system. Your fleets may only move one system at a time, unless you control the stargates in each system along your route or have been given access to the stargate by whoever controls it. If a system's stargate has no controller then you may pass through the system as if you owned it.
Akash – NPC
Tech: FTL, Ship Pincers, Lattice Armor, Crabapults, Genetic Engineering, The Lob-Star, Red Matter, Warp Drive, Advanced Medicines
The Vlad
-The Lob Star arrives in the system and promptly destroys everything with a red matter insertion on The Vlad. A powerful shield is raised around the battlestation to defend itself from the resultant supernova.
-A cooperative alliance between humans and Akash has been established on the Lob Star. it would seem that, after much fighting and the spread of a deadly disease that both sides have put aside their differences to operate the battlestation as comrades.
Twintanirig – Honeytiger
Tech: FTL, Planetary EM Field, Climate Control, Atmospheric Terraforming, Viral Engineering, Cancer Bomb, Warp Drive, Orbital Drilling Laser
Teitia
-Tympton is assaulted with deadly diseases, killing cat and Twintanirig alike. Over 99.99999% of the casualties are Twintanirig, though.
-Due to the horrific diseases unleashed upon them by their own leaders, most of the inhabitants of Tympton have lost all sympathy for their government and its military endeavors. Many are aiding the Cattonian occupation now.
-Bybi and Va fall to Cattonian forces.
-For what it is worth, the drilling laser is perfected.
Droresa – RocketPropelledPanda
Tech: FTL, Genetic Engineering, Spontaneous Organics, Alchemy, Warp Drive, Energy Redirection, Efficiency, Reactionary Defense
Barnard
-Reactionary defenses are online. Droresa can now quickly summon up situationally relevant defensive structures in the event of an attack.
-All attempts to move are frustrated by the travel disruption field emanating from Tessa. Eldinane managed to get quite close to the planet. In fact, Tessa now orbits the monstrosity.
Requiem – Mr.Stalker
Tech: FTL, Supreme Vodka, Leviathan, Dyson Swarm, Anti-Railgun Railguns, Flying Biospheres, Space Drill (1/2), Replicator
The Vlad
-The Akash arrive in their planet ship, the Lob Star. The battlestation emits a powerful shielding shortly before The Vlad supernovas, destroying every planet in the system. Two starfleets just barely manage to escape the blast as they leave for Dipta.
Dipta
-The last of the Ruskies find themselves stranded in Dipta without a home to return to.
The Chimera – Laika
Tech: FTL, Atmospheric Terraforming, Mega EMP, Teleportation, Mega Shield, Super Death Cannon, Wormholes, Teleportation Jammers (1/2)
The Vlad
-Hammer has been destroyed.
Hydra
-Wormholes have been mastered, but the alteration of the universe's physics basically renders this technology obsolete unless backed with near infinite power.
Sol
-An angel in charge of one of the fleets over Earth has gone rogue, refusing to recognize distant commands from the Pure. He has taken the human name Maurice and gone to live on an asteroid he has affectionately named Bert.
-The excavators are making significant progress unearthing pinpoint locations on earth, although what they are digging for still remains a mystery to all the rest of the universe.
-The fleets converge on the moon, making the moon people very nervous. Many humans are taking up the opportunity to move to Apollo system in light of this development.
Arcadia – CrowTheMagician
Tech: FTL, Cloaking, Atmospheric Terraforming, Nanomanufacturing, Ion Weapons, Fusion Power, Psychic Energy, Tripods, A Single Vial of Red Matter, Spice Seeds, Warp Drive, City Ships (1/2)
Titania
-Wraith emigration rises further as they begin to explore local worlds. Niflungar and Hrímthursar are settled.
-Large scale plantations are established on Inconnu for the farming of spice. The drug amplifies the lifespan of those who use it and induces a hallucinogenic effect enabling some well-attuned individuals to see through time. Unfortunately the drug is extremely addictive and withdrawal effects are almost always lethal. Legislation is put in place to regulate the trafficking and usage of Spice.
Sol
-Besides the plant life and bacteria left behind by the humans, there is no life to speak of on Mars.
-Research stations are established in orbit of Saturn and on the surface of Titan, again amidst the ruins of humanity.
Cattonia – Madcat
Tech: FTL, Plasma Weapons, Energy Shielding, Power Armor, Dyson Swarm, Fusion Power, EMP, Atmospheric Terraforming, Freeze Ray
Jubatus
-Freeze ray research is complete.
-A dyson swarm is established about Jubatus. All planets in the system now have access to near-infinite power.
Teitia
-Reinforcements arrive from Richt and Theren, but are largely unneeded. The Twintanirig worlds fall without much contest. Bybi and Va are conquered.
Cupitor – TripleA9000
Tech: FTL, Laser Weapons, Magnetic Weaponry, Fusion Power, Artificial Habitat, Energy Shields, Genesis Device, Black Hole Generator (1/2), Gundams
Gigas
-Black hole research is put on hold for an obviously superior choice of research: GIANT DEATH ROBOTS.
-Humanitarian aid is sent to Canus and Albus. The locals have calmed down a great deal, but the devastation is still present. Rebuilding efforts will be slow.
-Political propaganda attempts to spin the genesis fiasco in a positive light.
Explodonatia – Snickerway
Tech: FTL, Space Flamethrowers, Super Lasers, Thermal Phylacteries, Time Displacement, Mind Control, Ice Breaker Gun, Time Travel
Enfer
-According to science, Lithium is highly reactive and prone to explosion if kept in large quantities and not handled carefully.
-By utilizing some kind of real and not at all fictional or made up science, travel through time is now possible.
Dipta
-A full retreat is made back to the homestar.
Nihilus
-Nihilus is colonized.
Tesser – Serious Business
Tech: FTL, Swarm Ships, Atmospheric Terraforming, Geothermal Terraforming, Energy Shields, Tel-Empathy, Alpha Centauri Ship, Travel Disruption
Barnard
-As Eldinane moved towards Tessa, the prototype Travel Disruptor came online and was immediately activated. Just as Tessa was about to come within physical reach of the Droresan planet its warp capabilities were thwarted and it halted movement, entering orbit of Barnard. Tessa narrowly escaped destruction, falling into an elliptical orbit around Eldinane.
-As the people of Tessa celebrate their successful last ditch defense of the planet, terrible news reaches them of the widespread effects of the device. The Alpha Centauri ship, currently travelling through deep space and far from any large bodies of mass, is immediately flung home. The ship explodes as it exits the tiny wormhole back into the Barnard system and pieces of the ship rain down upon Tessa.
Bine
-The colony on Avo expands greatly. The lands are prospected for resources and then mined.
Roma – Tchefuncte Bonaparte
Tech: FTL, Energy Shielding, Guns That Shoot Smaller Laser Guns, Teleportation, Hardcore Gravity, The Wheel, Phase Shifting
Apollo
-Phase shifting research is complete.
-A handful of live human Chimera strains are captured in Sol and brought back for testing and observations.
Sol
-Humans in this system are given the option to live on Gallia. Many take up the offer.
-The fleets move into a defensive position in orbit of the moon. Chimeran ships fall into a similar orbit as well.
Redmagus – Sir Crona Statscowski
Tech: FTL, Psychic Energy, Fusion Power, Psybernetics, Cloaking, Artificial Intelligence, Temporal SMS, Time Travel, Viral Engineering
Enix
-Viral engineering technology is completed.
-A special virus is designed to kill Akash and sent back in time. It seems that, due to the changes in the timeline, the Akash have forged an alliance with the human rebels on the Lob Star in their time of weakness and developed advanced medicines to combat diseases.
Kadresha – A Furry
Tech: FTL, Mining Lasers, Ion Cannons, Kinetic Weaponry, Drone Bombs, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Radar, Atmospheric Ignition Bomb (1/2), Automatic Sandwich Maker (1/2), Kibbles and Bits (1/2)
Kellar
-Sandwich maker? Who needs it. Teams of scientists drop the project to work on a clearly superior food item: Kibbles and Bits.
-The people of Destiny contemplate their existence. Where did we come from? What do we mean to the universe? What does the future hold for us? Nobody can say for certain.
-Laser pointer stocks plummet fifteen points.
-The Biannual demolition derby is held for the first time with battle tanks. What else would the planet's massive military budget go towards?
-Some legislators are calling for the demilitarization of the demolition derby, citing demolitionist brutality against protestors and the mortality rates of no-warrant-crashes.
-Scientists by and large begin to abandon their academic pursuits to take up art. Dog Ross video sales are at an all time high, and former professors have taken to the streets selling landscapes and portraits.
The Imperium Collectives – GaryTheStoßtruppen
Tech: FTL, Lightsabers, Twin Ion Engines, Energy Shielding, Turbolasers, Sky Cities, AT-ATs, Power Armor (1/2), MegaTurboLasers, Sky Sattelites (1/2)
Nihilus
-Work has begun on Sky Satellites. What is a sky satellite? That's anyone's guess.
-Colonists arrive on Aqua Magna.
-The Sauriad presence on Bota Magna is removed via orbital bombardment.
-The Botans are suspicious of the Imperium's intentions, and refuse to meet with them after their first few encounters. They continue to hide in the jungles.
Enfer
-A fleet of Star Destroyers arrive to defend the system.
Grand Zelmizzen – Alice Der Dämonentöter
Tech: FTL, Kinetic Weaponry, Cybernetic Organics, Atmospheric Terraforming, Teleportation, Energy Shields, Cancer Cure, Fusion Power, World Ship
Richt
-Grand Zelmizzen now has the technology available to begin construction of planet sized space ships. Construction has begun on the "Andromeda GroßSchiff."
Dipta
-The fleets return home.
Bine
-Mining on Mann V intensifies to satiate the ever growing needs of the planetary construction project at Richt.
-Skorn is settled and geothermal power stations are established.
Sol
-Earth's moon is evacuated. Human refugees flood into Richt system.
Must be awful to get from Apollo to Theren.
Uh Syndic, what's the spooky white rectangle floating outside my moon?
EDIT: Thanks
Oh, and shouldn't Aqua Magna have some settlers on it?

A graphical error. I fixed it.
I don't even know what the fuck I'm doing anymore.
Hey! a new Gaint thing to Destroy! Thanks Akash!
The laws of physics have been rewritten. Tympton is doomed. But hey, we still have lasers.
First thing I'm doing with time travel is going back to stop this annoying-looking wormhole mechanic from existing.
Also, everyone, consider the following:
"-According to science, Lithium is highly reactive and prone to explosion if kept in large quantities and not handled carefully."
Everyone take note of this for your own sakes. When the Lob Star comes, you'll need bombs, and lots of them. The alternative is total system destruction.

You broke science already.

You wouldn't know when it comes. You find out where it is when your system is destroyed.

With two time traveling races the Lob Star can't possibly be unexpected. One is attacked, the other forewarns it.
@Gary: That is another mistake of mine. I have fixed it for the next turn.
The new wormhole mechanic is brilliant I'm my opinion, should have been implemented at the beginning of the game. Now players can't just poof into any system they choose, there now has to be some method and careful planning to it.
Nice one Syndic.
One fleet has gone rogue, I saw this coming. The Angels fleet will be annihilated, Maurice will be eaten by the ravenous horde.

The game is pretty linear when it comes to time travel. I'm not sure how you expect it to work that way. Both players would find out about the supernova at the same time when it's publicly posted.
To be honest, I don't see a way that time travel can be implemented in this game. I'm not sure why it even exists.
Oh boy, my outposts are finally useful
Taryn wrote:

I'm extremely doubtful the Lob Star will be some indestructible juggernaut able to destroy any system instantaneously and without limit. This is a forum game, after all, and the Lob Star destroying a ton of systems would irreversibly fuck up the game even if we did manage to defeat it. The Vlad was, essentially, Alderaan – an example, to show the devastating power the Lob Star possesses. It's not likely to be able to destroy another system every turn from now on.

Taiyo was Alderaan. You didn't know what caused the destruction until a while later and it was too late to stop it. The Vlad was Yavin IV. The Akash have already won; the "New Hope" is gone and Luke is dead. The only people making any attempt to stop the Lob Star are Snickerway, who's information could have been gained through a wikipedia search, and Sir Crona, who's attempt was practically cheating and has only served to make the Akash stronger.

So, basically, we're completely fucked, there's nothing we can do about it, and there's nothing we ever could have done about it because we didn't know the Death Star even existed when Alderaan hit?
What the hell are supposed to do now? Try and stop the Lob Star with time travel? Make some last-ditch suicide attack? Throw our hands up and gg because everything we've done up until now had been a colossal fucking waste of time? I'm not seeing many options here.

unless everyone devotes their time and energy to taking out the lob star, i mean i am building a black hole generator and my magnetic weaponry can fry electrical systems, but im not about to attack that thing by myself.
Correct. The coalition must combine forces to stop this menace. I mean, where else will Red Lobster get their supplies for crabfest?
Seriously though, if we don't take action, it'll target us all.
