Throwing Pyukumuku is an actually minigame. The only downside I see is there's no actually animation of you throwing it in the ocean.

Fuck throwing them in the ocean, I'm catching them for breeding fodder, one of them has got to have a perfect IV somewhere.

Alolan Rattata! It's Dark/Normal. This is what Yungoos was introduced to Alola for apparently.
Is it supposed to look a bit … ethnic? Anyway its abilities are fairly non-descript in Gluttony and Hustle.
Also Snorlax will have a unique Z-move. I feel pretty neutral about this tbh, just sort of "okay". Some other mons will have unique ones as well; Alolan Raichu seems to be one of these.

New Pokemon trailer is up.
It's confirmed UB-01 is NOT a pokemon. It is not listed with the other Pokemon on the official website. Theories are going around that it's Lillie.

Japanese trailer has more footage. Right at the end, the Lillie and UB-01 similarities become very clear.
Looking at the new trailer, I noticed that both Lusamine and Gladion sport blond hair, and green eyes. A trait they share with Lillie.
So all three of them could be siblings, or only Lusamine and Gladion are siblings and Lillie is UB-01 as everyone is now theorizing.
Anyone else already fall in love with Jangmo-o?
It reminds me of the clubbed tail dino.
Allow me to throw my two-cents on some of the new things introduced in the new trailer:
Jangmo-o: Welp, looks like I found the Dragon-type Pokemon I'm using this time around. Some people are speculating that Jangmo-o will be Alola's pseudo-legendary, but I think it'll be one of Alola's fossil Pokemon, given how it resembles a dinosaur, mainly an Ankylosaurus, which would explain why its abilities are Bulletproof and Soundproof.
Type: Null: This thing's design is… interesting to say the least. Many people speculate that Null is some sort of attempt at recreating Arceus, given how the inhibitor helmet that Null wears resembles the weird arm-crest thing on Arceus' body, and how the official website states that it was designed to rival a Pokemon described in mythology, with Arceus being a prominent figure in Pokemon mythology. If the Arceus parallel is true, that could mean that Null will have a large movepool, or potentially have another, more powerful form relating to the elemental plates.
Alolan Raticate: Kinda disappointed that Alolan Raticate loses the mustache that its previous evolution has, but whatever. Given how it's described as being gluttonous, it'll probably have more HP than regular Raticate at the cost of being slower (not that it'd matter anyway, since it'll most likely have access to STAB Sucker Punch).
Aether Foundation: Many people have speculated that Aether will be another villain team, but I'm not going to jump to that conclusion just yet, since there aren't too many details surrounding them just yet.
UB-01: So, we have a nonhuman entity that isn't a Pokemon, and there are apparently more of these creatures that exist. I'm curious to know the origins of these Ultra Beasts and what role they'll serve in Sun/Moon's plot. There's of course the theory that Lillie is actually UB-01 in disguise, which could be a possibility, since this thing can apparently shapeshift. I guess we'll have to wait and see when the game comes out.
Sun/Moon having different daylight times: I think this is a very clever idea. It looks like they're bringing back the mechanic of certain Pokemon only being available at certain times of day, which hasn't been in a Pokemon game since Gen. 4. I also like how certain trials will be different between the versions, making for a different journey between the two versions.
The Zygarde Cube: It looks like this is Zygarde's role for Sun/Moon. The official website states that collecting enough of the cores and cells will "make the path to finding Zygarde clearer." I wonder what will happen when you collect all of the cores and cells. Will that allow Zygarde to change its ability to Power Construct, allowing it to become Perfect Zygarde? Looks like I have something to do in the post-game…
Poke Finder: Eh, I'm indifferent to this function, but I know that a lot of Pokemon Snap enthusiasts will be glad to see this feature implemented in a core Pokemon game.

I wouldn't be suprised if the Pokefinder would actually be relevant to the plot. I'm thinking you'd need to snap pictures of UB for whatever reason.

Type: Null: I like the theory that this thing's name is actually just the error message the Dex displays after scanning it; it's clearly some sort of artificial pokemon-chimera thing, so it makes sense that the Dex wouldn't recognize it. Seems like it might be a legendary a-la Genesect. Though, a few have made a pretty good observation of noticing its face and head-crest thing are almost identical to Tapu Koko's. Seriously, just look at the eyes and the shape of the helmet around the crest. Apparently Gladion uses one, so there's that.
Alolan Raticate: Fucking RIP mustachioed mob-boss motif.
Jangmo-o: The heart on its forehead looks like a kabuto, and its name resembles the Japanese storm-god Susano-o, so I'm thinking its evolutions will be samurai-themed. This will likely be a pseudolegendary, IMO.
Aether Foundation: Screams secondary villain team, but I'll wait before making a final verdict. Lusamine, Lillie and Gladion are all almost certainly related; they all have the same hair/eye color, and all seem to care about the well-being of pokemon (Even Gladion hints at this in his dialogue, discouraging the player from "getting his/her pokemon hurt for no reason").
Pokefinder: We Pokemon Snap now? Seems interesting I suppose; I wonder if it'll tie into the story at all, a-la the "mysterious formations" in Snap.
UB's: …I'm not sure how to respond to this one quite yet, to be frank. It seems silly to me to introduce a new type of non-human creature in a franchise that already has, you know, its namesake, especially if these turn out to be uncatchable or otherwise unusable. Hell, isn't the whole point of the series "catching 'em all"? Anyway, rants aside, UB-01 is 1000% related to Lillie and the only way it could be more obvious is if they stuck a damn label on it. Rumor has it that it IS Lillie, what with all the chimera shit running around, and the Aether Foundation's involvement.

So Rockruff has a split evolution. It's the same Pokémon, but with different forms depending on if it evolved in the day or at night. I'd like to take this as evidence of the starters having a similar deal.
Although it's the same mon its forms are rather different, so I'm hopeful that this is going to have different types.
Serebii has also shown two more of the Ultra Beat things. It appears they might be version exclusive though, as they're both UB-02.

Confirmation of UB-02's appearance as "Absorption" in Sun and "Beauty" in Moon.
It looks like Hala & Tapu Koko will be victims of the Worf Effect during the game!
So we have to wait on Lugarugan's english name and other info then
Is anyone else holding out for an Alolan Dragonite and possibly mega Hydreigon? I mean, with all of the other pseudos getting megas and most gen 1 Pokémon getting new forms, it would be a shame for one of the first gen's most powerful Pokémon to get left out. Also, Hydreigon, poor hydreigon; It was only 1 gen old before the introduction of fairies made it obsolete. I'm sure that if it got a mega that could deal with this new weakness, it would give former Hydreigon users something to be excited about, wouldn't you say?

An addition to Dragonite and Hydreigon makes a lot of sense. It seems as if Dragonite would be due for an Alolan form and/or a Mega Evolution. Tyranitar, Salamence/Metagross, and Garchomp (why) were the pseudolegendaries to get a Mega Evolution. Goodra didn't get one either (but no Gen VI Pokemon got one, so that would make sense.)
Perhaps Dragonite was given something in Alola for Gen VII, which could make sense. And actually, no Gen V Pokemon got any Mega Evolutions either (so that includes Hydreigon)…except for…Audino? So maybe this is the generation for Gen V to get attention in Mega Evolutions.
But it's possible that nothing happens either just because of any trend we think we see.
But let's also note that there might be two different dimension we've seen in the mainline Pokemon games. Pokemon XY/ORAS are the only games where we've seen Mega Evolutions, and Zinnia even states that there might be other worlds. The events in ORAS are somewhat different from the events in RSE.
So it could be that SuMo occurs in the universe without Mega Evolutions (if the theory holds weight.)
Also, wouldn't it be hilarious if the Sun and Moon anime turned out to be great, and that the promos didn't do it justice?

Passimian – Fighting with new ability "Receiver", which grants it the ability of its fainted ally. Sun Exclusive. Holy crap, Rugby Monkey was real!
Oranguru – Normal/Psychic with Inner Focus/Telepathy. Has new move "instruct" which makes its ally attack again. Moon Exclusive.
Lugarugan is now Lycanroc – Both forms are Rock-type. Solgaleo/Lunala's influence causes it to evolve between versions apparently. Still don't understand how this is meant to work, but they're version exclusive.
There are Z-Moves for Pikachu and Eevee, which are fun if nothing else I guess.
Customisation is expanded.
The second leak is all but confirmed now with the announcement of Passimian (also best monkey) and Lycanroc (awesome name) as half of the things have come true at this point, making the leaked Starters bullet proof at this point.
Which means expect a Snowman, a Dolphin and Marshadow in SM.
Leak 4 is also getting truer, predicting Lycanroc, the time difference and Alolan Raticate. Still got Alolan Ninetales wrong
Leak 3 got blown out of the water.

Leak 3 has a chance with the idea with what they said about Rockruff's evolution having the same secret of the starters. This means the starter evolutions may be split. It's like 5% though and I don't think it'll happen but it's not completely 0%.

Accidentally being right shouldn't count. They were proven that they were just some random guy guessing features when he screwed up the Rockruff evo line. Whether the starter split evo theory has credibility or not should not be determined by proven false leaks.
Another distribution for Hoopa in America is live now until the 9th. Use the code 2016HOOPA to get it. It even works if you already got the McDonald's Hoopa.

Ans while we are at it, beginning on the 10th, for those of us in the US and Canada, Volcanion will become available, through Gamestop, through the 31st. It seems like most of Europe can get it between the 1st of October and the 23rd of November, through various stores. I guess this counts as a consolation for getting SM later than everyone else?

I think Dartrix, Torracat and Brionne are close enough to those leaked finals to count as further strong evidence.
Looks like something strongly resembling Join Avenue from BW2 is back.
Brionne confirmed "Awkward Middle Stage Starter" of Gen 7. Still think the final evo is the best, but the other two middle evos are freaking fantastic.
Also Megas confirmed for real this time, and Ash-Greninja.
Alright, new trailer, so time for me to throw my two-cents on what was revealed this time:
Dartrix: Can't really say I'm a huge fan of Dartix's design. To me, it looks like just a bigger version of Rowlet with a dumb haircut that puts Midnight-Lycanroc's weird emo mohawk to shame. I would say the design is bad entirely, it's just not very interesting for me.
Torracat: I'd say out of this generation's starter midstage evo designs, I think Litten got the best one. I know that seems hypocritical since I called out Dartrix for being too samey, and you could say the same thing about Torracat, but there's something about Torracat's design that clicks with me more. Maybe it's because I'm a fan of a black-and-red color scheme when it's done properly, or it could be because it loves to battle, kind of like me, I dunno.
Brionne: There's something about Brionne's design that just seems off. It can't seem to make up its mind as to whether it should be cute or pretty, so it just sort of ends up in that uncanny valley where it comes off as just awkward. Still, that won't affect my decision of picking Popplio as my starter for Pokemon Moon.
Ash-Greninja: I'm going to be completely honest, I was caught off guard when it turns out that Ash-Greninja was going to be in Sun/Moon. Given how the XYZ anime described it as being a pseudo-Mega Evolution, it'll most likely get the Mega Rayquaza treatment; in that it won't require a specific hold item and evolve through other means, in this case KOing an opponent's Pokemon. I do wonder if there will be other synchro-evolutions, or if Greninja will be the only one.
Festival Plaza: From what I got from the trailer, it looks to be a combination of Platinum's Wi-Fi Plaza and Black 2/White 2's Join Avenue. Should be rather interesting.
Poke Pelago: It's nice to know that the Pokemon stored in PC boxes will have something to do aside from being bench warmers. It also seems to be a nice way to get items and raise Pokemon more easily. I could probably get some use out of this feature.
Megas Confirmed to Return: Was there really any doubt that these WOULDN'T return? It would seem like a waste to see a mechanic that was hyped up in the previous generation not return for Sun/Moon. Now, whether there will be any new Megas is up for debate.
Mfw Join Avenue is basically back
Out of all the features in Black and White 2 that one was one of my favorites.
I originally considered Rowlet and Popplio as my starter of choice, but with Lucha Litten becoming more and more of a reality, now I'm conflicted. As for a main starter, the only one that has been consistent is Popplio. I'll have keep restarting until I get a female Popplio or just say fuck it, take the male Popplio, and call it Florian.
Does anyone think we're getting Midday and Midnight forms of the starters. I recall one of the CoroCoro magazines mention that the starters and Rockruff have a "secret evolution."
Of course Mega Evolutions would return in Sun and Moon for pre-existing Mega Pokemon. I thought getting new Mega Evolutions seemed unlikely with Alola Forms being the big focus this time around.
Ash-Greninja…
Well it's nice we're getting it at least despite it failing the Kalos league, but the level it was in the trailer was 37. How exactly will traded Pokemon like this Greninja listen and obey the player if badges are not a thing in Sun and Moon? What replacements are we getting for defeating Trial Captains and Kahunas?
Alright so with all the new Pokémon that has been revealed so far and the fact that the starter leaks from way back when have basically been confirmed at this point, I feel that now is a good time to pop the question.
Based off the info and assumptions we have so far, if you were to make a team of 6 only featuring new pokémon (including A. forms) what would your team be?
Here's mine:
Mudsdale
Lurantis
Wishiwashi
A. Exeggutor
Pallosand
Starter (I honestly have no idea who to pick)
I know that quite a few of these are the same type, but that's not really a concern to me.

Don't judge me for having unevolved Pokémon on my team, but I like looks over power (don't call me shallow, I'm just not the competitive type). So then, my team would be:
Litten
A. Vulpix
Lycanroc (midday)
Oricorio (either Bailé or Sensu)
Salandit
Tapu Koko
I could also have chosen to have 2 starters and include Popplio, but that would be against the rules here I believe.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one who noticed that.
I feel like my reaction to the Popplio line has been the opposite of everyone elses. Everyone immediately made fun of Popplio while I immediately fell in love with it, and everyone immediately feel in love with Brionne while I thought it to be a derpy second stage (admittedly, after seeing the in game model and fan art, it has grown on me) Those that saw the final evo leaks thought Popplio’s to be the worst while I thought it was the best.
Either way, first play through, I’m definitely going with Popplio. It was my decision when they first were released, and everything afterwards has only reinforced that decision.
Edit: I like how both my forum post and main page comment has one downvote. Who did I offend?
And now Popplio has became my main for Sun and Moon.

Don't worry fam I got you hooked up with a +1. I am also a PoppliBro, I feel like it's an unconventional and interesting design.
I like all 3 starters tbh and when if the leaked finals turn out to be real, I'll be pretty satisfied. If Dartrix progresses to that Robin Hood looking thing the evolution line will kind of tell a story so that would be pretty neat.
I'm still going Popp, water is a solid type on its own where grass can be tricky early game.
Either way I hope we get to try them out in the demo. I also hope the demo doesn't have the whole freakin game data left in this time.
So, has anyone been seeing the names Robingroot, Panthster and Entermaid being used lately? Does anyone have a possible source? I don't recall them being named on the original leak.

What's weird about it to me is that I hd this idea of Pokemon having their own virtual world to live in, so it's pretty neat to see it be a real feature.
In the midst of all the hype for Sun/Moon, don't forget to pick a card to get your very own Volcanion for XY/ORAS at Gamestop before the end of October. It's at Level 70 and holding an Assault Vest, and its starting moves are Steam Eruption, Flamethrower, Hydro Pump, and Explosion.
