About
"Blowout Soon, Fellow Stalker" is a quote from a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. related MS Paint comic, where a stalker is asked about when is a Blowout is going to happen, the person who warns of the Blowout turns to an ominous figure who grabs him and tells him the Blowout is happening already with a red glowing background.
Origin
The original MS Paint comic was originally posted in a Facepunch S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series Megathread[1] in December 30th 2009. The conversation in the comic goes:
"Blowout soon, fellow stalker!"
"Oh really, when?"
"NOW!"
In game, the "blowout" (or an emission) is a sudden and powerful release of energy from the center of the Zone. It is unknown exactly what causes the emissions, but they have been linked to the appearing and disappearing of anomalies and artifacts, as well as changes in mutant behavior. This does damage to player due to radiological damage and the only way to protect one-self is to hide in a large shelter or by taking special drugs called "anabiotics" in game.
Spread
This is frequently used on gun/survival related boards and also (but less) on video game related boards. The comic also referenced via the snowclone "X Soon, Fellow Stalker" where the X is used to imply something unexpected and dangerous, much like the Blowouts in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The implication (as with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. originally) is that the referenced catastrophic event is arriving before you have time to adequately prepare for it.
The comic has also spawned several parodies and pieces of artwork, some related to the series it originated from, and some related to different memes like Doom Paul.
