The trailer also shows Mario and other characters driving karts on Rainbow Road, a reference to Mario Kart. After the trailer, it is explained that Donkey Kong's render is based on the original character form the Donkey Kong arcade game.

Why Hollywood insists on hiring big celebrities instead of dedicated voice actors to make animated movies? Voice actors are cheaper and do a better job.

I get that hiring celebrities is a marketing move, they want to put big names in the posters and the trailers to get attention and convince people to watch it, but people changed, most people who don't even know who Charles Martinet is but played Mario games, would prefer the original voice actor instead of a replacement.
