Duck Chasing Students refers to a viral video of a duckling chasing a large group of college students in a dormitory hall. First posted in April 2019, the video has appeared in multiple edits on Twitter and Instagram.
Origin
Oт April 1st, 2019, Twitter user @aman9919 posted a video of a group of students running from a duckling in a dormitory hall (shown below).[1] The video gained over 27.5 million views in four months, while the tweet has been shared over 613,000 times and received over 1.5 million likes within the same period.

Spread
In the following days, multiple edits of the video were posted on Twitter and Instagram. For example, on April 3rd, Twitter user @JJMOCHIJJ edited a scream of K-Pop singer Jimin over the video, with the tweet receiving over 36,500 retweets and 72,700 likes in four months.[2] On April 4th, 2019, Instagram user ill.mp4 posted a SpongeBob SquarePants edit of the video, with the post receiving over 60,000 views and 8,100 likes in the same period.[3]
Starting in late July 2019, the video gained further spread on Instagram, with notable edits posted by users admblackhawk,[4] pampam.mp4[5] and spork.da.fork.[6]
