Overview
BronzeAgeShawty Elon Musk-Funded Lawsuit, also known as SHAWTY Block Inc. Lawsuit, refers to a lawsuit filed by Chloe Happe against her former employer Block Inc., a fintech service provider headed by Jack Dorsey. In late March 2024, Elon Musk announced that X / Twitter would be funding Chloe Happe's lawsuit against Block Inc. Happe was supposedly fired from her job for a number of tweets posted from anonymous and pseudonymous accounts on X, including one in which she wrote, "Looking fear in the eye as I am using the gender neutral restroom in the office and a retarded tranny in a wheelchair knocks on the door."
Background
The X (formerly Twitter) accounts @samsarashawty and @bronzeageshawty are operated by Chloe Happe, a former employee of the fintech company Block Inc., headed by Jack Dorsey, the founder and former head of Twitter.
On March 29th, 2024, @XNews[1] made a post about how "X is funding a lawsuit filed today by Chloe Happe against her former employer, Block." The post gathered over 27,000 likes in two days (seen below). The post alleged that Happe was fired for expressing her political opinions on her private and formerly anonymous X accounts.

Block fired Chloe because of the political opinions she expressed on X. Chloe had two pseudonymous accounts on X, @bronzeageshawty and the now-deprecated @samsarashawty. She did not reference Block or her own identity on either account before Block fired her.
But because some of the opinions she expressed in her X accounts did not conform to the prevailing political orthodoxy, Block fired her, in violation of the law. X is supporting her suit to vindicate her rights.
A copy of the lawsuit titled "Chloe Happe v. Block" can be accessed on Document Cloud.[4] The lawsuit makes references to two posts composed by Happe in late 2023, referred to as the "Refugee Post" and the "Restroom Post." According to the documents, the Refugee Post was made after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th while the Restroom Post "expressed a satirical and joking comment about being confronted by a transgender person at a restroom" (shown below).
The document also notes that Happe was called into a meeting with the HR department at Block Inc. and asked about both posts. Happe reportedly denied making both posts and blamed them on an "abusive ex-boyfriend" impersonating her online.
Developments
On March 29th, 2024, X[2] user @bronzeageshawty quoted the aforementioned post to discuss her lawsuit, thanking Elon Musk for funding her lawsuit and Praxis[3] (founded by Peter Thiel) for helping her find a new employer after she was fired from Block Inc (seen below, left). Praxis quoted the post, writing, "We got your back" (seen below, right).
Also on March 29th, X[5] user @MattBinder posted a screenshot of the "Restroom Post" mentioned in the lawsuit, gathering over 16,000 likes in two days (seen below).
