"GOD FUCKING damnit KRIS where the FUCK are we!?", also shortened to "KRIS where the FUCK are we!?", is a catchphrase used in exploitable photoshop memes that depict Deltarune characters Kris and Susie in other video games.

Origin

On September 23rd, 2021, Twitter user @cherryfowl[1] posted a picture of Deltarune's Kris and Susie in Minecraft, with the caption reading, "Susie: GOD FUCKING damnit KRIS where the FUCK are we?" The tweet gained over 7,200 retweets and 37,000 likes (shown below).



Spread

The @cherryfowl post inspired multiple similar images over the following week. On September 25th, the FACEIT Team Fortress 2 account[2] posted an example with Kris and Susie in Team Fortress 2, gaining over 6,300 retweets and 33,000 likes (shown below, left). On September 26th, user @jigrasmut_[3] posted a What Is A Man? parody, gaining over 50 retweets and 200 likes (shown below, right).



Some users created examples of the meme in which they redrew Susie and Kris to fit the art style of the game they were referencing. For example, user @pcktknife[4] posted a drawing of Susie and Kris in Night In The Woods, gaining over 6,500 retweets and 30,000 likes (shown below, left). User @cosmicthefox_[5] posted an example featuring the pair in Super Mario 64, gaining over 70 likes (shown below, right).
