About
Gumball and Darwin watch is a series of video fads on youtube from an exploitable scene in The Amazing World of Gumball. The videos involve Gumball and Darwin watching a video on the internet that has been edited from the original version which causes their mother to unplug the computer.
Origin
The scene originated from the episode "The Gi" where The two main characters, Gumball and Darwin are watching a video of Darwin's karate, the video is called "TAE-KWON DORKS" on the internet which makes fun of them but they mistake it as a misspelling of "Tae-Kwon Do". This resulted in Gumball's mother, Nicole to unplug the computer.
Spread
On August 2nd, 2011, Youtube user 20thCenturyPictures uploaded a video titled Gumball and Darwin watch: Brock's Dub where the TAE-KWON DORKS scene is replaced with Brock's Dub cover of the song Friday (Shown bottom left). The user would later make 2 more videos regarding the fad. The last in particular which was uploaded August 26th, 2011, titled Gumball and Darwin watch: Scary Maze Kid, gathered over 87.000 views as of April, 2015. The video replaces he TAE-KWON DORKS scene is replaced with a scary maze reaction video (shown bottom right).
