I Have Your Baby or Will You Promote Him To Prince Consort? is a series of exploitable memes based on an advertisement for the mobile game Call Me Emperor showing a pregnant male emperor saying, "I have your baby" over a dialog box reading, "Will you promote him to prince consort?" The ad was first screenshotted and posted to the /r/Choices subreddit in October 2019, becoming the subject of photoshops and redraws over the following years.

Origin

On October 10th, 2019, a now-deleted Redditor posted a screenshot of an ad for the mobile game Call Me Emperor to the /r/Choices^[1] subreddit titled, "If Baby Bump was not genderlocked and set in Imperial China," referencing the mobile game Choices, garnering over 300 upvotes in six years. This is the earliest known user to share the ad.

On June 27th, 2020, Redditor u/FlintyMachinima posted a cleaner-cropped version of the ad to the /r/shittymobilegameads^[2] subreddit, garnering ovre 8,800 upvotes in five years.

Spread

The ad became the subject of edits over the following years, most of which replace the emperor with someone else. On September 4th, 2020, X^[3] user @ posted a redraw featuring a character from The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, garnering over 430 likes in five years.

On July 15th, 2023, Tumblr^[4] user spockvarietyhour posted an edit replacing the emperor with Krem from Star Trek, garnering over 1,700 notes in two years.

On August 14th, 2024, X^[5] user @doro44twitch, aka Twitch streamer doro44, posted a version of the meme with his head on the emperor, garnering over 1,500 likes in eight months. On November 19th, X^[6] user @36tofu posted a version featuring the character Janitor Thresh from League of Legends, garnering over 1,700 likes in five months.

On April 8th, 2025, Facebook^[7] page Ritsu Yumi posted a version of the meme featuring the character Mydei from Honkai Star Rail that garnered over 2,200 reactions in six days. On April 13th, X^[8] user @vanillaopinions posted a version featuring Joe Biden that gained over 3,700 likes and 200 reposts in a day.
