I'm Coming Over You Better Not Be Tweaking most commonly refers to a photoshopped version of the Boy and Girl Texting meme showing the girl texting "I'm coming over u better not be tweaking" attached to an image or video of a character doing something that resembles tweaking on drugs, supposedly the boy she's texting. The exploitable meme format first appeared on iFunny in 2020 and spread over the course of 2021.

Origin

On July 30th, 2020, iFunny^[1] user TravieC posted a stacked image of the girl from the Boy and Girl Texting meme with a speech bubble reading "I'm COMING OVER U Better NOT Be Tweaking" on top with Homer Simpson in bed photoshopped with large pupils as if tweaking on drugs on the bottom, gaining roughly 40 smiles in a year (shown below). This is the earliest known upload of the format.

Spread

The original version of the meme was shared a number of times over the following weeks, including on Tumblr^[2] by sovietnam on August 5th, 2020, gaining over 1,400 notes in a year. On May 9th, 2021, Twitter^[3] user @GotBunniez posted a version of the meme replacing Homer Simpson with a photoshopped image of a real man with huge pupils, gaining over 31,000 likes and 4,600 retweets in five months (shown below).

On June 11th, Instagram^[4] user hollowcloth posted a meme using the girl texting and attaching a video of Mario from Super Mario 64 jumping between walls repeatedly and rapidly gaining speed, garnering over 1,300 views in four months (shown below).

On June 17th, Redditor RedDemon2021 posted a DogeLore comic to /r/dogelore^[5] referencing the format, gaining over 400 upvotes in four months. On August 22nd, Instagram^[6] user wiggatron420 posted a version of the meme without the girl texting, instead using an "image macro" format and attaching a video of Bart Simpson from The Simpsons Game on PS3 glitching and crashing into the wall (shown below). He also uploaded it to YouTube,^[7] gaining over 2,000 views in the same span of time.

On August 28th, Instagram^[8] page stickomatic posted a version of the meme referencing cars, gaining over 5,100 likes in two months (shown below, left). On October 3rd, Redditor Commercial-epitaph posted a version of the meme to /r/2schizo4you,^[9] gaining over 250 upvotes in three weeks (shown below, right). The post is captioned, "bitches be like 'u better not be tweaking' nigga I am consuming the unholy and maggot-riddled flesh of a maiden of the night."
