About
I'm Gonna Hold Your Hand When I Say This is a slang expression and catchphrase used primarily in vagueposting on X / Twitter as a way of suggesting that there is a harsh truth to be told regarding a subject, with the hand hold meant as a way to soften the blow. A version of the quote was notably used by Chef Pii, also known as the Pink Sauce Lady, during a 2022 interview on the Karamo Show, in which she confronts a hater and tells her that she is "not special." It was popularized over the following years on TikTok as a trend where users share harsh truths and as a vagueposting tactic on X.
