About
Islamic Family Guy Minecraft Parkour Videos, also known as Imam Peter Instagram Reels, refers to a series of Instagram Reels shared by user Imam Peter (@imammpeter) featuring a Muslim Peter Griffin sharing the teachings of Islam and the Quran with other Family Guy cast members, set over Minecraft parkour footage, akin to sludge content. Peter often interjects and says, "Astaghfirullah," which means "I seek forgiveness from Allah," among other Islamic phrases in the videos. The videos were shared on Instagram in 2024 and 2025 and spread via reposts to Twitter / X and TikTok soon after.
Origin
On January 10th, 2025, Instagram[1] user Imam Peter (@imammpeter) shared an Instagram Reel using AI voices of Family Guy characters to spread the teachings of the Quran. The video concerned why Muslims pray five times a day. The background was a Minecraft parkour video. Over 11 days, it received roughly 19,000 likes (shown below).
Precursor
Before Imam Peter, starting on December 31st, 2024, an Instagram[2] user named @sheikhthehedgehog started sharing Reels of a Muslim Shadow sharing the teachings of Islam to other Sonic the Hedgehog characters set over Minecraft parkour backgrounds. The videos likely inspired Imam Peter. The user has restricted video embeds but has numerous examples on their IG account.[8]
