The earliest known viral use of the phrase "Just fell to my knees in a Walmart parking lot" emerged from a Tweet posted on October 25th, 2021 where Twitter[1] user @whynotaddy reacted to news about You costars Victoria Pedretti and Dylan Arnold are dating. The tweet gathered over 150,000 likes in nearly a year (seen below).

The phrase began to infiltrate TikTok and comment sections, with TikToker[2] @unfriendlybisexual posting a video on January 9th, 2022, with the caption "just fell to my knees in walmart," and gathering over 7 million plays and nearly 2 million likes in ten months (seen below, left). TikToker[3] @scrubnumberone posted a video reacting to one such thirst comment on January 19th, 2022, gathering nearly 500,000 views and 50,000 likes in nine months (seen below, right).

The trend continued on Twitter[4] as well, with user @roramdin posting a tweet about Serena Williams making a Bored Ape using the tweet format on January 20th, 2022. The tweet gathered over 170,000 likes and 11,000 retweets in nine months (seen below).
