After Kim posted a video of the hologram to social media, social media users expressed how they found it either creepy or sweet. Others parodied the text of Kim's tweet and added humorous photos.

On October 29th, 2020, Kim Kardashian[1] posted a video in which a holographic version of her father Robert offers her well wishes in honor of her 40th birthday. The hologram was the idea of Kanye West. "For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion," she tweeted, gaining over 13,000 retweets, 29,000 quote tweets, and 168,000 likes in less than 24 hours (shown below).

The video drew a mixed response from commenters, with some feeling it was creepy and others feeling it was sweet. User @zei_squirrel[2] was in the former category, tweeting "this is the creepiest shit I have ever seen holy fuck. rich people are sociopaths who need to have their wealth expropriated from them for their own good if nothing else," gaining over 140 retweets and 1,600 likes (shown below, left). I think it's just irksome that Kanye couldn't pass up the opportunity to suck his own dick by having the hologram call him the biggest genius in the world.

Also, knowing he was OJ's lawyer makes me wonder if the guy's even worthy of the gesture.
