Level 1 Gyatt or Level One Gyat refers to a viral TikTok audio and trend where a character or person's posterior, referred to as their gyat, is shown at three different sizes, the size exaggerated comedically with editing or other methods, as the audio announces the three levels of gyat one-by-one. The audio was first uploaded to TikTok in early July 2023 and went viral over the following weeks on TikTok and YouTube.

Origin

On July 7th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @vexbolts posted a video where he comedically showcases three different Fortnite characters' "gyatt levels," in this case meaning the size of their posteriors. He calls the level one gyatt "embarrassing" and describes the level three gyatt as rare. The video gained over 9.2 million views in just under two months (shown below).

The original sound was used over 21,000 times over the following weeks, sparking a trend where TikTokers show the gyatt levels of various people and characters in a comedic way. On July 9th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @angelbadpiggies9183 posted a version of the trend using Plants vs. Zombies characters, garnering over 8.1 million views in just under two months (shown below, left). On July 18th, TikToker^[6] @loren_bryant posted a version of the trend that gained over 6.2 million views in a month with an older man reacting to the gyatt levels, inspiring the top comment, "I gyattt to call the police" (shown below, right).

On July 19th, TikToker^[3] @canyoufindmeahouse posted a version of the trend that gained over 3.8 million views in a month (shown below, left). On July 27th, TikToker^[4] @capri_gallego posted a version of the video that garnered over 5.6 million views in a month (shown below, right).

On August 21st, YouTuber^[5] kracc bacc posted a meme using a version of the audio read by another person, garnering over 226,000 views in a week (shown below).
