Our Daughter Is Dead! You Destroyed Our Family! refers to a page from a fan Five Nights at Freddy's comic in which William Afton's fan-canon wife accuses him of ruining their family by building a machine that killed their daughter. Due to Afton's design in the comic being vaguely reminiscent to that of Peter Griffin from Family Guy, the page has been humorously redrawn and recaptioned as an exploitable meme format.

Origin

On September 25th, 2019, artist PinkyPills uploaded page six of their "Save the Last Dance" fan comic, based on the Five Nights at Freddy's lore and fan canon, to DeviantArt,^[1] Tumblr and Twitter.^[2] On DeviantArt, the post accumulated over 114,000 views and 280 favorites in three years (shown below). In the comic, Willam Afton, the main antagonist of the series gets accused by his wife Lora of ruining their family by inadvertently causing the death of their daughter, killed by a machine Afton had built.

On December 19th, 2019, an unknown Redditor posted the earliest edit of the comic, editing Afton to look like Peter Griffin from the Family Guy animated series. The post gained over 1,500 upvotes in the /r/fivenightsatfreddys^[3] subreddit in four years (shown below).

Spread

The comic had not actively been parodied until 2022. On February 28th, 2022, Twitter^[4] user @ELIZABETHAFTON posted another Family Guy parody of the comic, replacing the Aftons with Peter and Lois Griffin. The post (shown below) gained over 2,300 retweets and 22,100 likes in 10 months.

The meme achieved virality in late November 2022 after a November 29th repost by Twitter^[5] user @bara_moe_bitch, who reshared the December 2019 Peter Griffin edit, with the post gaining over 3,200 retweets and 36,700 likes in three weeks.

In late November and early December 2022, multiple edits of the comic were shared online on Twitter and Reddit. For example, on December 1st, Redditors ConekQ and joblessskrr posted Bone Hurting Juice edits of the comic that received over 12,800 and 500 upvotes in the /r/bonehurtinghjuice^[6][7] subreddit in three weeks, respectively (shown below, left and right).
