About
Big Kuza, also known by his handle @bigkuza, is a TikToker and hip-hop artist most known for his short-form, motivational TikToks. His videos primarily borrow sounds from other TikTokers, ones which are mostly inspirational quotes centered around masculinity and hustle culture. In his videos, Big Kuza mouths the words being said and is often flexing designer outfits and aesthetics. He started posting to TikTok in April 2020, though he didn't receive viral attention until mid-2021. In August 2021, other TikTokers began parodying him through duets and stitches.
History
Big Kuza began his online presence as a hip-hop artist, posting his music to Spotify [1] and Soundcloud [2] as early as 2017. Kuza is from Lakeland, Florida and promotes his Florida-boy mentality through both his music and his TikToks. He posted his first TikTok[3] on April 14th, 2020, but his first TikTok[4] to reach the "For You" page and receive over 100,000 views was posted on April 4th, 2021. The TikTok (shown below, left) received roughly 190,000 views and 25,000 likes over the course of one week, following the style he'd come to be known for on the platform of mouthing a popular sound that has an inspirational sentiment.
