Story
Season One
The series begins with the show's offscreen character, Jonah, finding an old VHS tape at a thrift shop. The VHS tape is called "Angel Hare", which is a show he enjoyed and found comfort in during his youth. However, he recalls that the video on the VHS tape he found at the thrift store is different than what he remembered watching as a kid, and compares it to his old VHS recordings of the TV show. The main difference being in his recordings of the show that the show's main character, Angel Gabby, would speak to him by name. Jonah goes back to check his other recordings of the show, and it appears that Angel Gabby continues to give Jonah advice directly, and said advice is very specific. For example, Gabby shows Jonah how to barricade his bedroom door with a chair and hide in his closet from who is assumed to be his abusive father. In the third episode, Gabby tells Jonah how to hide an unnamed object, presumably a weapon. In the fourth episode, Gabby helps Jonah come up with an alibi for some unknown reason. Even the records that may have helped to explain what happened were lost in a flood. Frustrated, he returns to his mother's house to recover more of his old recordings, and finds various other materials about childhood psychology and records of his mother repeatedly contacting the company that broadcasted the show, as well as Keith Publishing who distributed the show who both sought legal action in order to get her stop doing so. In the season one finale[3] (shown below), Jonah decides that in order to bring Angel Gabby back to him he would livestream an episode on Twitch, and call out to her doing said stream. His plan works, and causes a fourth wall-breaking moment in which Angel Gabby once again greets Jonah by name and reaches her hand out to him on his laptop screen.
Season Two
In the show's second season, Angel Gabby goes missing from her own show after Jonah livestreams an Easter special. In her absence, another angel rabbit with dark grey fur named Angel Zaggy appears in her place with much different attitude and lines compared to the ones Angel Gabby spoke. Jonah quickly becomes wary of this new rabbit and thinks he's done something with Gabby. However, after finally getting Zaggy's attention he confronts Jonah and says that he's trying to find Gabby himself. Zaggy and Francis search Gabby's home to try to find some clues as to where he may have gone. Francis tells Zaggy of a vision he received shortly after her disappearance and drew it on paper, but Zaggy can't figure out its meaning while in the Angel Hare cartoon. So he sends Jonah off to find a more suitable media in which to study what he's found. Jonah searches the library of a church to find an old detective noir film named Wylde Hare, which was also distributed by Wreath of Life, and streams it. Afterwards, Zaggy and Francis relocate to the film where they take on human forms and meet up with Zaggy's "Fran" named Francine. Zaggy checks Francis' drawing again, which becomes a newspaper headline that reads "Starlet finds a new stage". Jonah has an idea of what may have happened, and they try setting up multiple screens in order to find Angel Gabby. They find her, but she's trapped in multiple streaming windows and unable to get out as she was trying to help several troubled kids on the internet at once. After a long talk with Jonah, Gabby was able to put herself back together again and get back to her show.
Season Three
In the third season, Jonah receives a video message from his old friend Segen about an old PC-8801 computer game he loved playing named Hyrax in The Rocks. However, his game always played differently from how it should normally play when compared to other gameplay streams of it online. In addition, his copy of the game had fully voiced characters while all other copies of the game did not. Segen noticed Jonah's dealings of a similar nature with the Angel Hare cartoon, and sends his computer and game to Jonah to see if he can figure out what happened with his copy of the game. Jonah attempts to call Segen on his smartphone, but was unable to reach him. Gabby and Zaggy recall that another angel named Camael, who was Segen's guardian angel, is inside that game, and decide to go in to look for them. Gabby and Zaggy take over the roles of the game's rogue and paladin roles respectively, and Jonah playing the game's mage. Soon after starting the game they discover that Camael's fran, who played as the game's jester, is gone from the game. Also, Gabby and Zaggy are unable to follow Jonah as he progresses further into the game. Jonah eventually finds Camael, who was not only playing the role of the game's princess, but all the game's other non-player characters as well. Camael confronts Jonah about abandoning Segen, and ends the game early after Jonah is able to bring Gabby and Zaggy back into the conversation. Gabby and Zaggy are both knocked back into the Angel Hare cartoon, and shortly after Gabby pulls Camael out of the game and into the Angel Hare cartoon as well in order to have a long talk with them about the game and how they're handling things. Jonah also gives Camael some advice, and Camael returns to the game feeling much better. Afterwards, Jonah finally is able to get ahold of Segen on his phone, and they finally meet up with each other again in person.
