The trend of commenting "we making it out of [place] with this one" is a development of the We Not Making It Out the Hood, a catchphrase that first began growing in popularity in 2020 and has been used as a way of mocking bad hip-hop songs and beats.

Starting in 2021, an reverse version of the meme, "we makin it out the hood," gained popularity as a way of commenting on songs that actually show talent, albeit often being used in an ironic fashion (examples shown below).
Approximately in February 2023, phrasal template "we making it out of X with this one" started gaining popularity on YouTube and TikTok, being used to humorously comment on music videos while making a reference to their lyrics. For example, on February 4th, 13th and 23rd, 2023, YouTube[1][2][3] users Ofnir, Ren in 4D and Tatsugiri (among multiple others) commented versions of the snowclone on Joeyy's song "GOUT" (video and comments shown below). The comments, which referenced DJ Smokey's Shadow Wizard Money Gang producer tag, gained over 9,900, 5,400 and 3,900 likes in three months, respectively.
Spread
Starting in February 2023, the phrasal template saw further spread on YouTube, often appearing in comment sections of viral songs and songs used in memes. For example, multiple versions of the meme were posted by users in the comment section of "Ballin'" by Mustard and Roddy Rich, known for its use in the Axel in Harlem meme (comments shown below). For example, a YouTube[4] comment reading "WE MAKIN' IT OUT OF THE ELEVATOR WITH THIS ONE 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🥶🥶" made by user giga in mid-May 2023 gained over 15,000 likes in two weeks.
Similar comments appeared in comment sections to songs by Joeyy, Lil Mabu and Jack Black's song 'Peaches' among other music videos on YouTube.
