Regarding Steven Universe, Art & Origins:
I would like to apologize.
There are images and notes in the art book that call to mind racist stereotypes.
These pieces were created carelessly and it was wrong to include them in this book. I am deeply sorry for the hurt this has caused.
While I did not personally create or select this material I did miss it during the approval process and I take full responsibility as executive producer.
It is extremely important to me and to my team that Steven Universe is inclusive and always respectful to our audience.
Any failure at that I will work to correct immediately.
These pictures and notes will be removed from all future printings of Art & Origins.
