Yourgirlfriend22 is the online handle of a woman named Jessica Cannon, who grew popular online thanks in part to her Snapchat and Instagram stories. Several of these have been turned into reaction images using British slang expressions as the caption.

History

Cannon is from Kansas, USA and first began posting on Instagram^[1] on January 22nd, 2013. She began posting about her newborn son shortly after. As of May 9th, 2019, her Instagram account lists her age as 19.

Online Presence

Yourgirlfriend22 posts didn't begin seeing use in memes until late 2018. On October 12th, 2018, account @MobiusVids posted a video taken from her Instagram stories in which she stares at the camera (shown below).

In early 2019, many of her Snaps were used as reaction images on Twitter, all of which featured captions typed in British slang. On May 3rd, Twitter user @gigijgac^[2] posted a compilation of reaction images taken from her Snapchat, gaining over 220 retweets and 1,200 likes (examples shown below).

On May 8th, she announced on Instagram^[3] that she would be on an upcoming episode of Dr. Phil. A picture of the post was posted to /r/PewDiePieSubmissions,^[4] as PewDiePie has regularly featured Dr. Phil segments on his show.
