See The Winner Of October 2024's Meme Of The Month!
And the meme of October 2024 goes to …
He's been on the screen, he's been wielding the pen and he's been in the ring — and now, he can finally call himself a king (of memes). The first place on our monthly poll goes to YouTuber KSI and his "Thick of It" rap. There was nothing too extraordinary about KSI's latest musical creation except for its timing. The song dropped just in time to add fuel to KSI's recent controversies involving his Lunchly product and his beef with YouTuber DanTDM. The internet quickly jumped on the opportunity to express just how much they disliked KSI's musical endeavors with parodies and mocking comments, especially with the lyric "From the screen to the ring to the pen to the king" being weaponized as a copypasta. "Thick of It" pulled 26 percent of total votes and easily snags the first place this month.
Donald Trump Working at McDonald's
Donald Trump was on top of our monthly polls quite a few times in the past but fell a tad short this October as the viral photo op of him serving food at McDonald's has managed to secure 11.5 percent of votes, placing the former U.S. President in the runner-up spot. The Sunday morning when Trump briefly tried the life of a fast-food worker spawned many viral photographs and videos, with people taking their opportunity to complain about the ice cream machine being broken and reminding Trump to just put the fries in the bag.
Cheeseball the Wizard Cat
In the third place this month we have the most cute yet powerful wizard, Cheeseball the Wizard Cat. The AI-made orange menace in a pointy hat first manifested itself online in late August with an image of the plump feline wizard holding a staff in its paw being spread around and inspiring fan art. However, in October, Cheeseball conjured something magical and really went viral with videos and animations of the cat wizard. A total of 10 percent of you chose Cheeseball as your meme of the month, ushering a new era of whimsical sorcery into our world.
Game Freak Pokémon GigaLeaks
Where to even start with the Game Freak Pokémon leak? From stories about Typhlosion ( and other Pokémon, too) getting it on with humans and spawning human-Pokemon hybrids, to Jennifer Lopez allegedly being the inspiration behind the "sexy pilot" design of Gym Leader Skyla, the massive leaks revealed just how much "freak" takes precedence over "game" in the company's name. The leak, which somehow overshadowed the Vaporeon copypasta and gave the Pokemon community years' worth of lore and meme material, will definitely not be forgotten any time soon and places fourth on our monthly poll thanks to 9.5 percent of those who voted.
Subtle Foreshadowing
You might have expected this coming: Wrapping out our top five is the Subtle Foreshadowing meme, which involves editing videos in a way that their climax is teased throughout the meme, edging the viewer till the grand finale when things foretold finally occur. The trend has been a comfy throwback to the era when YTP memes ruled supreme and has once again proven that physical comedy can never get old. Fifth place thanks to 9 percent of your votes.

Not every meme is destined for greatness, and those who aren't at least have this section where we celebrate notable memes that didn't manage to reach the top five. In October 2024, here we have the Parkour Civilization, where no one chooses to jump for the beef (8.5%), Logan Paul's preference for drippy cheese (5.5%), the terrifying Still Water (4.5%), Shaq's respectful "time out" gesture (3.5%), Mizuki hearing an ominous bell in the Mizu5 reaction (3.5%), Propeller Hat Dog being silly and whimsical (3%), Elon Musk's repeated attempts to do an X shape while jumping (2.5%), the start of the Winter Arc (2%), the animal magnetism of the Temu Pig Shirt (1%) and, finally, the Cuckstoel for a lonely traveler (0.5%).
Thank you for voting and see you next month!
