Ant-Man on Security Camera refers to a series of image macros based on a shot of the character Ant-Man on a security monitor in the 2019 Marvel superhero film Avengers: Endgame.

Origin

On December 7th, 2018, Marvel released the first trailer for the film Avengers: Endgame. At the end of the trailer, a portion of a scene in which the character Ant-Man (portrayed by Paul Rudd) drives to the front gate of the Avengers compound and appears on a security camera (shown below). Within several months, the post received more than 95 million views.

That day, various meme accounts posted a shot of Ant-Man on the camera as the basis for a series of memes and reaction images. For example, Instagram user @shieldposting posted a version that joked that Ant-Man was one's Uber driver. The post received more than 250 likes in less than six months (shown below, left).^[1]

Throughout the day, others shared various memes about the scene (examples below, center and right).

On May 1st, 2019, Redditor ^[2] jervisTL posted an image macro of the shot with the caption "When you're at the grocery store and you see yourself on the security monitor." the post received more than 86,000 points (96% upvoted) and 420 comments in two days (shown below).
