The Ariana Grande "Break Free" Trend is a TikTok lip dub trend in which people lip sync to a portion of the song "Break Free" by pop artist Ariana Grande starting where she sings, "If you want it, take it," while holding up their middle finger. The trend began in mid-October 2025 and continued to spread through early November that same year.
Origin
It is unconfirmed who started the trend. One of the earliest known examples was uploaded on October 16th, 2025, by TikToker[1] @tiktokdramaduvetjag, garnering over 2.5 million views in a month. In the video, she lip dubs to Ariana Grande's "Break Free" while flipping off the camera.
