About
Horny Samus is an image macro series in the styling of Advice Animals that utilizes the character Samus Aran from the Metroid video-game series as the focus of many sexually-stimulated jokes.
Origin
The cropped image of Samus' face comes from a 2009 upload by user Rman0712 on Rule 34 Paheal[1], though the original use of the image is a status of debate. It is thought to have been derived from the humor site Funnyjunk, however there could be evidence to support its origin on 4chan.
Spread
On sites such as DeviantART, uploads began to appear during 2009, however, the "Horny Samus" image macro series began to spread during late 2010, particularly between March and October. On Meme Generator, over 600 images have been submitted in the "Horny Samus" character archive.
