Mr. Clean Filter on TikTok, also known as FAVORITE MR CLEAN?, is an NSFW 777 Filter on TikTok that asks users to choose between two photos of Mr. Clean by nodding their head left or right. The non-chosen Mr. Clean image then switches to Rule 34 pornography. Bait-and-switch 777 filters started to appear on the app in late May 2023, resulting in viral reactions. The Mr. Clean filter was one of the most notable 777 filters, among others such as the Chun-Li Filter and the Fav Princess Peach Filter.

Origin

On May 23rd, 2023, TikTokers surfaced a new 777 filter called the Mr. Clean filter that asked its user, "FAVORITE MR CLEAN?" and baited them into seeing Rule 34 pornography. Various videos were posted on May 23rd, the most viral of which was posted by TikToker^[1] @zestyybih who gained roughly 7.1 million plays and 208,300 likes in two days (shown below, left). It was shown in other videos (example shown below, right) that an account called @_.mr_.clean._ seemingly created the filter, however, their account has since been deleted.

Spread

Going into late May 2023, various TikTokers uploaded similar reaction videos in which they questioned who made the filter and why TikTok hadn't taken it down yet, among other humorous concerns. For instance, on May 24th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @mysonsaremyworld uploaded a video with the filter, gaining roughly 1.7 million plays and 3,700 likes in one day (shown below).

The reactions continued to surface in the days that followed, gaining news coverage by internet culture websites like HITC.^[3]
