On February 24th, 2024, TikTok^[1] user @brandonandjamal posted a parody video of Doja Cat's song "Agora Hills" as a reply to a comment on a previous video saying, "sigh in single mom." In the video (shown below), he dances in front of a car holding a pack of diapers while the parody replaces Doja's chorus "I wanna show you off" with "now you a single mom." The post amassed over 1.3 million plays and 128,000 likes in a month.

After the parody music went viral on TikTok, user @brandonandjamal started to stitch his song and merch products with videos of single moms talking about their lives and issues. For instance, on March 1st, 2024, the creator stitched a video^[2] of @vibeswithtlj saying "being a single mom is freaking hard," adding his video dancing with diapers and his merch for the "now you a single mom" parody song. The post (shown below, left) amassed over 7 million plays and 1 million likes in two weeks.

On March 5th, 2024, TikTok^[3] user @advicefromawife101 posted a video talking about the outrage surrounding the @brandonandjamal parody song. The post (shown below, right) received roughly 741,000 plays and 49,000 likes in two weeks.
