The Sabrina Carpenter Fortnite Skin is an in-game skin based pop artist Sabrina Carpenter released on the Fortnite Item Shop on April 8th, 2025, along with two of her songs for Fortnite Festival: "Juno" and "Nonsense." Rumors about the skin started spreading online in late March 2025 and were confirmed a day before the skin's release on April 7th, 2025. The skin notably inspired memes and reactions online.

Origin

On March 25th, 2025, rumors that Sabrina Carpenter would get a Fortnite skin started to spread online, purportedly after Epic Games accidentally added some cosmetics related to her character to the game's files early, namely a silver microphone with a red heart on it that Carpenter is known to use. X^[1] user @ShiinaBR shared this rumor that day, garnering over 48,000 likes in two weeks.

Spread

Prior to the skin's release, the rumors continued to spread, inspiring memes and reactions. On March 25th, 2025, Kotaku^[2] reported on the rumors.

On April 4th, X^[3] user @sabrinacervo posted a meme about all their friends using the skin when it releases, garnering over 10,000 likes in four days.

On April 6th, 2025, X^[4] user @Peace_Syndicate posted a meme about alleged backlash that the skin got from some Fortnite fans, reading, "Sabrina Carpenter received a large wave of backlash and hate when she was introduced to Fortnite Festival. This is a clever reference to how the majority of Fortnite's fanbase are sexist incels," garnering over 12,000 likes in two days.

On the same day, X^[5] user @sparkyhowlett posted a GIF of Sabrina Carpenter crouching on stage, writing, "me spamming crouch with my Sabrina Carpenter fortnite skin," garnering over 9,000 likes in four days.

On April 7th, the skin was officially announced by Epic Games via the Fortnite^[6] website, along with a trailer for the skin. The skin was released the next day on April 8th, 2025.

That day, Redditor u/Butbean1 made a post to the subreddit /r/FortniteBR^[7] titled "Yeah yeah, we got Sabrina X Fortnite but why…" along with an image of the skin captioned "couldn't it be Sabrina x me?" garnering over 1,800 upvotes in a day.

Also on April 7th, 2025, Redditor u/ThePats posted a version of the Distracted Boyfriend meme to the subreddit /r/FortniteBR^[8] in which the boyfriend looks at the Sabrina skin instead of his girlfriend, the Hatsune Miku skin, garnering over 1,800 upvotes in a day. On April 8th, the skin was officially released.

On April 8th, TikToker^[9] @vempt_ posted a video referencing Sabrina Carpenter's 'Juno' poses garnering over 90,000 views in under a day. It was reposted that day by X^[10] user @leasweetener, garnering over 13,000 likes in under a day.
