Sir, If You Have a Complaint I Suggest You Submit It Through Our Email System or You Are Done refers to a scene from Breaking Bad where Gus tells Walter to submit a complaint through the email system, pretending not to know Walt is trying to partner with him to sell meth. In August 2022, the scene was combined with another where Fring sternly says, "You are done," and became a popular green screen meme and original sound on TikTok.

Origin

In Breaking Bad season two episode 11, Walter White meets with Gus Fring at his restaurant to try and partner with him to sell meth. Fring feigns ignorance, saying, "Sir, if you have a complaint I suggest you submit it through our email system. I would be happy to refer you to our website" (shown below, left). In season four episode 11, Fring fires White, saying, "You are done. Fired. Do not show your face at the laundry again" (shown below, right).



On August 19th, 2022, TikToker[1] @synth_wz posted a green screen edit combining these two scenes in a meme where Fring disagrees with complaints that two skins in Call of Duty are mid, garnering over 200,000 views in two weeks (shown below). On August 20th, the same TikToker[2] uploaded a similar meme using the format, garnering over 800,000 views in two weeks.

Spread

The original sounds for each video became popular over the following weeks. On August 21st, TikToker[3] @caysont posted a version of the meme about Kanye being mid, garnering over 1.3 million views in two weeks (shown below, left). On August 23rd, TikToker[4] @wizzard_of_hazz posted a version of the meme using Minecraft characters, garnering over 1.8 million views in just over a week (shown below, right).

On August 30th, TikToker[5] @weakestwheyenjoyer posted a version of the meme about workouts, garnering over a million views in three days. On September 1st, TikToker[6] @ethanistic posted a lip dubbed version of the meme, garnering over 900,000 views in a day (shown below).
