To Your Eternity (Fumetsu no Anata e) is a fantasy series drawn and written by Yoshitoki Ōima. The series focuses on an unnamed immortal being, later known as Fushi, created by a being known as The Beholder who is also known to be the narrator of the series. Fushi has the ability to take the form of any living being. The reason Fushi was to preserve the entire world. The series was later adapted into an anime.

History

To Your Eternity was drawn and written by Yoshitoki Ōima, the same author that wrote and drew A Silent Voice. It was first published as a manga series on November 6th, 2016. The manga is still ongoing to this day. On April 12th, 2021, the first episode of the anime adaptation, handled by Brain's Base studio and directed by Masahiko Murata, began streaming on Crunchyroll (trailers shown below).

Reception

The series has seen overwhelmingly positive praise from fans, who have gravitated to the series' drama and sadness. The series has a score of 8.74 on MyAnimeList^[2] and 9.1/10 on IMDb^[3]. The first volume of the manga sold 29,288 copies,^[6] and is ranked as one of the top 20 mangas sold weekly. YouTube channel Mother's Basement said it had the potential to be the best anime of 2021 (shown below).

To Your Eternity has gained a small fandom before the anime adaption began, but gained a huge following when the anime aired its first episode. The series' subreddit r/FumetsuNoAnataE, ^[4] created November 12th, 2016, has amassed over 3,300 members. The series also has its own Wiki^[1] and a page on TV Tropes.^[5]
