Texts To Song Trend or Text Message AI Song Trend refers to a viral TikTok trend that began in mid-April 2026, in which users use texts or messages from friends and family as lyrics for AI-generated songs, typically using the Suno Music AI tool, in various genres such as gospel, reggae, screamo and more. The trend began when a user turned their daughter's texts asking for Starbucks into an emo song, which quickly went viral and inspired others to create their own.
Origin
On April 11th, 2026, TikTok[1] user @anotherdayatthestoddards posted a video using an AI music tool to turn her daughter's texts requesting Starbucks into an emo song. The video quickly went viral, amassing over 8.6 million views and 938,300 likes in less than three weeks.

On April 25th, 2026, TikTok[2] user @coketa0001 posted a video turning her son's texts into a song, which gained over 2.4 million views and 155,000 likes in about five days.
