The trend began when a user turned their daughter's texts asking for Starbucks into an emo song, which quickly went viral and inspired others to create their own.

On April 11th, 2026, TikTok[1] user @anotherdayatthestoddards posted a video using an AI music tool to turn her daughter's texts requesting Starbucks into an emo song. The video quickly went viral, amassing over 8.6 million views and 938,300 likes in less than three weeks.
