About

That One There Was A Violation, Personally I Wouldn't Have It is a string of lyrics rapped by Hzino in a video originally uploaded to Snapchat in late 2020. The audio from the Snap became associated with a clip showing several men in masks and large coats vibing in an alley as the lyrics play, which became a popular reaction on TikTok and YouTube in the following months, attached to footage of people "violating" or wrecking people. An official version of the song, as well as a video, dropped in May 2021 by Hzino.

Origin

On an unknown date in late 2020, rapper Hzino made a Snapchat rapping over the UK drill hop beat BALLY[3] in which he raps, "That one there was a violation, personally I wouldn't have it. And if you do, just have it in a GC, press X you faggot." The earliest available upload of the audio was posted to YouTube[2] on November 21st, 2020, garnering over 34,000 views in seven months (shown below).

Spread

A clip of the audio became significantly popular on TikTok over the course of 2021 as an original sound, often associated with footage from an unrelated drill rap music video by Sin Squad for the song "Trus Story Pt. 2" featuring a number of rappers vibing in gang attire, including large coats and masks (shown below).

The two are used together at the end of various videos showing people getting "violated" in ways. For example, on April 18th, 2021, TikToker[4] @violations.on.tiktok posted a video following the trend, garnering over 3.1 million views in two months (shown below).

On May 26th, 2021, YouTuber[5] Kay Jr posted the reaction video at the end of a Twitch clip of streamer Greek saying Pokimane doesn't look 17, then leaving before saying how old he thought she was, garnering over 300,000 views in a month (shown below).

On May 30th, TikToker[6] @gt.football posted a video using the clip at the end, garnering over 1.7 million views in just under a month (shown below).
