About
Twins at The Carousel Trend is an animation meme and trend set to the song "Twins at The Carousel" (ふたつの木馬) by Japanese songwriter and Vocaloid producer Kikuo, featuring Hatsune Miku, which went viral online in mid-2026. The earliest examples of the trend first appeared in mid-June 2026, spreading over the following weeks.
Typically, the trend features the "Twins at The Carousel" song playing in the background while a character is shown looking deadpan into the camera as one or more other characters dance and spin around their head in a circle.
TikTok user mushuuno kickstarted the meme with an edit of the character Clark (played by actor Chiwetel Ejiofor) from the Backrooms movie with little pirate versions of himself running around his head, spreading to other fandoms and pop culture references as it became an animation trend.
