Le me just say this. While i too have had my share of mobbing which lead to self hatred, it is never, EVER something to be proud of. And yes, it does look like you're proud of it if you bring it up ever time someone speaks to you and you're occupying the victim-position more comfortably than you would occupy a king-sized Bed with your secret crush.
It makes you look dishonest. And even though you could technically be right, no civilized Person would ever want to side with you. I probably has something to do with reversed psychology, but you could fight for the most righteous cause on Earth and People would still laugh at you if you act like a twat. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to play by the rules. Even if they're unwritten.

Of course both sides are terrible to imagine, but I feel more sympathetic towards the soldier, he's just a normal dude that's seen hell and back, and it doesn't stop when the fighting stops either. Someone developing a mental illness from one simple name call that a soldier developed going through a war-zone really makes you question the mental state of those people.
