Well I think they hate it because it brought in some casual newfags and weebs. However I find it justified for awakening being many's first fire emblem game. The series suffered from asshole localization until Smash Melee, and even still the ones that were released worldwide were so under advertised compared to awakening that I find it fair that awakening brought in much more people.
