"Wants to Know Your Location" is a series of images featuring screenshots of various Google searches with a pop-up location services message notification from a web browser saying that someone "Wants to Know Your Location," suggesting that someone loosely associated with the search query has been notified (similar to Why is the FBI here).
Origin
On January 14th, Redditor [5] _ILOVEITWHENTHEYRUN posted a variation on the "Why Is the FBI Here?" meme in the /r/meirl subreddit. In this version, _ILOVEITWHENTHEYRUN posted an image parodying location services on desktop computers. In the top pane, "is it normal to have a 15 inch penis" is written in a Google search field. In the bottom pane, a location services notification window can be seen with the text "www.google.com wants to Know your location." The post (shown below) received more than 3,000 points (99% upvoted) and 30 comments in five months.

Later that day, Redditor[1] bananahands0666 reposted the original image in the /r/dankmemes subreddit. The post received more than 60,000 points (94% upvoted) and 420 comments in one month.
That day, Redditor[3] _emporer posted a version in the /r/dankmemes subreddit, referencing the PewDiePie but can you do this meme. The post (shown below, left) received more than 2,500 points (97% upvoted) and 20 comments in one month.
On January 15th, 2018, Redditor[2] rgauci5800 posted a photoshopped another version of the meme. In this image, in the top pane, "how to hang yourself" is written into search field. In the bottom pane, a location services notification window can be seen with the text "Logan Paul wants to Know your location," referencing Logan Paul's Suicide Forest Video. The post (shown below, center) received more than 8,600 points (97% upvoted) and 50 comments in one month.
Throughout the next few days, more Redditors on /r/dankmemes continued to upload version (example below, right).
On February 15th, 2018, Redditor[4] LANA_WHAT_DangerZone posted that "Google Wants to Know Your Location is the January 2018 Meme of the Month." The post (shown below) received more tahn 4,400 points (87% upvoted) and 215 comments in less than 24 hours.
