I Can't Put Down The Cup is a memorable lyric from rapper Dave Blunts' 2024 song "The Cup" in which he sings about being unable to stop sipping lean. The song was released in June 2024 and was popularized as the subject of memes in November of that year. As a meme, the lyrics are often used alongside images of novelty cups or cups with funny phrases or images on them.

On June 21st, 2024, rapper Dave Blunts released the song "The Cup." The song's lyrics deal with his addiction to lean and feature the repeated lyric, "I can't put down the cup, can't put down the cup."

On November 14th, X^[1] user @OsoBlanc0 posted a meme consisting of an animated representation of Dave Blunts underneath the caption, "I can't put down the cup," garnering around nine likes in three weeks. This is the earliest known meme to use the lyrics.
