Jumping Dog "Tink" or Jumping Black Lab, also known as Jumping Black Dog Edits, is an exploitable meme format and series of Photoshop edits based on a photo of a black lab named Tink jumping in the air and facing the camera. The image was uploaded by the dog's owner, X / Twitter user @kwoade, in June 2025 and went viral. It inspired a variety of reposts and edits over the following months, which take the dog and place her in new settings. Some of the most viral memes place the dog on video game covers.

Origin

On June 26th, 2025, X^[1] user @kwoade posted a photo of his dog Tink, a black lab, jumping in the air on a walking trail, with a yellow lab standing behind her. The post reads, "Happy Thursday! In a move that will surprise no one, I am delighted to announce that today’s airborne dog of the day is tink (again) 🖤," and garnered over 29,000 likes and 2,000 reposts in five months.

The image of the black dog lunging through the air became the subject of numerous edits and reposts over the following months.

On August 20th, 2025, X^[2] user @gregthesorcerer posted an edit of Tink with fairy wings and a wand, writing, "Adventurer: wow so this must be the enchanted forest! I wonder what kinds of fanciful creatures might be waiting for me in this magical place | The ever fantastical fairy," garnering over 1,800 likes in three months.

On November 10th, the sillyanimalspost Instagram^[3] page reposted the original photo, garnering over 245,000 likes in nine days.

On November 15th, 2025, X^[4] user @insaneposes reposted the original dog image, garnering over 77,000 likes and 7,600 reposts in four days.

Later that day, X^[5] user @Jukobut3 quoted the post, writing, "Video game boxart," garnering over 179,000 likes in the same span of time.

The posts inspired an influx of edits on X in the following days.

For example, also on November 15th, X^[6] user @dreamywolfdd posted the dog image alongside an edit that adds her to the cover of Sonic: Colors, garnering over 77,000 likes in four days.

On November 16th, 2025, X^[7] user @JoshuaTookes posted an edit that adds the dog to the last scene from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie where SpongeBob jumps into the air for a freeze-frame, garnering over 81,000 likes in three days.
