Manny Heffley Subplot, also known as the Manny Heffley Meme, refers to a series of image macros that compare the Diary of a Wimpy Kid characters Greg and Manny Heffley in which Manny is always represented by an athlete photoshopped to look tiny or small. The images' top captions include a depressing quote from Greg, followed by Manny playing a sport, akin to the Average Subplot snowclone. The images label Manny as carefree and cool compared to his older brother Greg. The Manny Heffley memes surfaced en masse on TikTok in December 2024. They were mostly posted in photo slideshows using a cover of rapper Dave Blunts' song "I Can't Put Down the Cup" sung by TikToker Mitchell Ferguson as the audio.
