Roblox Down Copypasta refers to copypastas about the children's online multiplayer roleplaying game Roblox, often used to ironically indicate despair or desperation about the website being offline. One viral and often quoted version of the copypasta started on October 29th, 2021, after Roblox posted a notice to their X (formerly Twitter) account acknowledging an outage. The copypasta starts with a variation of the phrase, "It's been almost X hours without Roblox, I can't stop shaking and I'm having severe withdrawals."

Origin

On October 29th, 2021, X^[2] account @NotVero208 made a series of posts in reply to X account @Bloxy_News, which was reporting a site outage. The posts have since been deleted but can be accessed via reupload to TikTok (seen below).

On October 30th, 2021, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Roblox^[1] made a post that read, "Still making progress on today’s outage. We’ll continue to keep you updated. Once again, we apologize for the delay. We know that this outage was not related to any specific experiences or partnerships on the platform."

Also on October 30th, 2021, X users @aaaabok^[3] and @maxp0o^[4] also posted variations of the copypasta in response to the post made by Roblox, gathering over 3,000 likes each (seen below).

On October 30th, 2021, Redditor^[5] /u/SnooGrapes1374 made a post containing an extended version of the copypasta (seen below).

Roblox is my life, I met my amazing girlfriend john there, In bloxburg, I was delivering pizzas, when I saw this amazingly attractive woman named, CoolDjoleProGamerYT, she was so cute, I flushed. I found her home later then and tried to talk to her, she was so kind and cute that I accidentally typed my thoughts out "mind: she's so cute.." and she flushed than I got nervous, we then went in and made out, after that, we went on many dates to Adopt Me, where we adopted 2 boys named DemonicLuciferr, and RedDoflaming0. Demonic and Red were so cute that I even took them out of town and took them to Brookhaven. after that we had our child in Bloxburg on our rooftop named laser lamps. Our kids were so cute and amazing that I even fed them my special milk, they liked it so much that they wanted it again. and the day after… Roblox was down and I went through my panic attack, Shivering in fear of losing my fiance and kids. I am so scared that I might just lose my mind and go insane… I want my kids back…
