Short Baby Lois Griffin refers to an image of Family Guy character Lois Griffin when she was a little kid taken from a scene where she meets Peter Griffin for the first time in elementary school. The image became a reaction image predominantly in early 2023 on Twitter where meme creators captioned it to portray the caption's emotion.

Origin

On February 14th, 2020, season 3, episode 21 of Family Guy titled, "Family Guy Viewer Mail No. 1," aired on American television.^[6] The episode was split into three parts with the last part titled, "Li'l Griffins," in which, Lois, Peter and Quagmire, among other characters, are children and Lois walks into the classroom as a new student who Peter meets for the first time (YouTube^[7] upload shown below).

On June 20th, 2022, iFunnyer^[1] vital_okbuddyretard posted a meme that labeled the picture of baby Lois Griffin as Quandale Dingle's daughter, earning seven smiles in six months (shown below, left). Despite this early example, the image of baby Lois didn't become a larger meme until January 2023, started by Twitter^[2] user on January 22nd, 2023, who captioned the image, "this looks like yeojin," earning roughly 3,300 likes in 12 days (shown below, right). Additionally, YeoJin is from the K-pop music group LOONA.

Spread

On January 28th, 2023, Twitter^[3] user mabpilled tweeted the image of baby Lois, captioning it, "High as fuck and this is making me emotional she looks so fucking cute ong," gaining roughly 111,400 likes in six days (shown below, left). On January 31st, 2023, Twitter^[4] user psydoq tweeted an edited version of baby Lois, likening her to a Funko Pop. The tweet received roughly 89,500 likes in three days (shown below, right).

The viral tweets inspired fan art and redraws of baby Lois going into February 2023. For instance, on January 30th, 2023, Twitter^[5] user CUPlDCRY tweeted redraws and, in their caption, referenced Twitter^[3] user mabpilled's caption. The tweet received roughly 55,000 likes in four days (shown below).
