Trump "Thank You For Liking My Post" Tweets refers to a series of automated X posts / tweets from the @RealDonaldTrump X account thanking users who liked an October 1st post that promised to send election reminders to anyone who liked it. The automated thank you messages went viral in early October 2024, with many users poking fun at them. Some users who are notably anti-Trump, such as streamer Hasan Piker, liked the original post in order to get the thank you message regardless of their political leanings.

On October 1st, 2024, presidential candidate Donald Trump made a post on X[1] encouraging North Carolina residents to vote and encouraging people to like the post for voting updates, writing, "North Carolina: Get ready to vote! LIKE this post to get IMPORTANT election reminders in North Carolina. Whether you vote early or in-person on Election Day -- have a plan and make sure you VOTE!" The post garnered over 148,000 likes in two days. X users who liked the post were tagged in automated posts made by the @RealDonaldTrump X page thanking them for liking the post and offering them to reply "stop" to stop getting updates about the election.

Over the next few days, the posts from @RealDonaldTrump replying to individual users became the subject of reactions and memes.
For example, on October 2nd, 2024, X[2] user @TopSecretNoam posted a Photoshop of one of the thank you posts in which Trump's account responds to someone with a username filled with slurs, garnering over 11,000 likes in a day.
Later that day, leftist political commentary streamer Hasan Piker received a thank you post from Trump's X[3] account, garnering over 11,000 likes in a day. Piker quote-reposted[4] the post, writing, "THANK YOU SIR FOR RECOGNIZING A REAL PATRIOT!!!!" garnering over 74,000 likes in a day.
Later that same day, X[5] user @greg16676935420 quote-reposted his personalized thank you post from Trump, garnering over 34,000 likes in the same span of time.
