The source of the image is unknown and made its first known appearance online on a Russian website in 2004, becoming a meme used most often to represent chat room creeps and internet perverts. It also became the subjects of photoshops, where users edit the man into new situations.

Origin

It is unknown where the image was originally posted and who the person in the meme is. The earliest known use of the image online was posted to the Russian website svalko^[1] on June 15th, 2004 (shown below). The meme depicts a young woman talking with a man on chat messenger ICQ. She says, "Hello. I think you are cute. How old are you and what do you like to do after school?" He responds telling her he's 17.
