Patrick, Mordecai and Jeremy Sleeping on Couch is a redraw meme template depicting Patrick Star from SpongeBob SquarePants, Jeremy from Phineas and Ferb and Mordecai from Regular Show sleeping while sitting on the couch, their heads upturned towards the ceiling with their mouths open. The meme was shared on X / Twitter in March 2024 and became the subject of redraws that month in which artists draw their comfort characters in the same positions. The image of Jeremy sleeping with a turkey leg and milk previously became the subject of redraws in February 2024.

Origin

On March 14th, 2024, X[1] user @HXG2023 posted a meme compiling images of the characters Patrick Star, Jeremy Johnson and Mordecai sleeping in similar positions, sitting upright on a couch, writing, "Who does this meme the best? Mordecai, Patrick, or Jeremy?" garnering over 3,600 likes in four days (shown below). Later that day, X[2] user @FanaMationU reposted the image, writing, "Draw your comfort characters like this," garnering over 54,000 likes and 6,100 reposts in the same span of time.

The post inspired numerous X users to post their own redraws of the image as quote-reposts. For example, on March 15th, 2024, X[3][4] users @Armand_Gman and @MaroDraws posted redraws featuring the characters Daisy from Super Mario, Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 4 and Aubrey from OMORI that garnered over 49,000 likes and 2,200 likes, respectively, in three days (shown below, left and right).
