Penis-kun refers to a copypasta about why penises are adorable, written in baby-talk-like speech, using words like uwu and cutesy Donger emoticons. The phrase copypasta has been read and performed several times in videos, and is generally considered cringeworthy by readers and viewers.

Origin

The earliest known post of the Penis-kun copypasta was posted on 4chan's /v/board by an anonymous user on December 23rd, 2017.^[1] It reads:

Dicks are so cute omg( •?• ) when you hold one in your hand and it starts twitching its like its nuzzling you(/) or when they perk up and look at you like" owo nya? :3c" hehe ~ penis-kun is happy to see me!!(?) and the most adorable thing ever is when sperm-sama comes out but theyre rlly shy so u have to work hard!!(?••) but when penis-kun and sperm-sama meet and theyre blushing and all like "uwaaa~!" (?´?)?: ?hehehe~penis-kun is so adorable (?´???)?::?

Spread

Over the following several days, the copypasta was posted around social media. Redditor ariacchii^[2] posted it in /r/copypasta, gaining over 380 points. On December 24th, Twitter user mixedhunty^[3] posted part of the copypasta, gaining over 5,000 retweets and 12,000 likes (shown below).

On January 20th, 2018 Instagram account otaky.nyann^[4] posted a person reading the copypasta in an anime girl voice, gaining over 3,000 views. A reupload of the same video to YouTube on January 23rd features a watermark of Pibeon,^[5] an Instagram user who has made similar videos, making them the likely creator.

On June 5th, 2019, Facebook user Sarah Lolly^[8] posted a video of herself reading the copypasta in character, gaining over 3.9 million views, 23,000 likes and reactions, and 46,000 shares (YouTube repost shown below). This video was reposted to Reddit's /r/TikTokCringe^[6] where it gained over 2,600 points and to Twitter by user @bobby,^[7] gaining over 200 retweets and 1,400 likes.
