Codemiko is a vtuber and virtual streamer who gained popularity with her interview streams in November 2020. Codemiko is known for utilizing advanced environments and motion capture in her streams, with her streams featuring interactive and RPG elements.

Online History

On March 16th and 17th, 2020, Twitch,^[1] Twitter^[2] and Instagram^[3] accounts for Codemiko were created. On March 17th, @thecodemiko made her first social media post,^[4] revealing^[5][6] several model images on March 17th and 18th (shown below, left and right).

On March 20th, 2020, Codemiko held her first Twitch stream,^[7] an ASMR broadcast (shown below).

On September 13th, 2020, Codemiko^[8] revealed The Technician, the person who portrays Codemiko and who created her model and programmed Codemiko's environment (shown below).

Starting in September 2020, Codemiko posted interviews with a number of streamers and YouTubers, including Honeydew, Pokimane, Cr1tical and VideoGameDunkey. On November 27th, 2020, Codemiko introduced a new environment that simulated Codemiko talking to her guests via a video conference^[10] (clip shown below).

On November 29th, 2020, @thecodemico posted^[9] a mocap clip (shown below) that received over 1.4 million views, 16,200 retweets and 93,700 likes on Twitter in two months, with Codemiko's popularity both on Twitch and social media rapidly increasing in the following weeks.

As of January 11th, 2021, Codemiko accumulated over 325,000 followers on Twitch, 64,900 followers on Twittter and 17,300 followers on Instagram.

Codemiko's streams feature a number of interactive and RPG elements, with the viewers being able to morph Codemiko's body and customize her appearance.

Codemiko is primarily known for her interview streams in which she talks to YouTubers, streamers and influencers.
